I just bought her album this past weekend at our tournament and I must say. She's got some talent! Totally love the album.

Also, got Pa Thao's "Behind The Mic" album. Sound kinda RnB-ish. Haven't gave the album a whole lot of listening because I'm currently addicted to Jjenn's but so far so good..

Also check out KARMA's site at http://www.myspace.com/thehmongbandkarma .. They were an alternative/acoustic two man band.. But they did a 360 degree turn and became a whole ROCK band. They got some talent thou and I give them mad props.. Check out their demos on their site.

Their lastest album is pretty good.. (They've only put out 2 albums so far).. Their first one was alright but my personal opinion, they improved a great deal.. I think you can check them out on http://www.paradise-me.com ...

BUT, i do listen to some. (very little).
I only listen to the more popular ones (ie: Nco kuv me me)
other than that, I dont care much for it

{ We'd never have to wonder if we missed out on each other... }

I like Karma and RARE since I heard Karma sing live at that Fresno State Hmong Youth Leadership thingy. And then I heard RARE rap live at the Fresno Hmong International New Year. So yep these 2 groups got talent fo sho.

I also like New Breed since they got some good tunes that fit my alternative rock taste. Hehe! Paradise is pretty good too. I love Long. Haha! Whyte Shadow is my absolute fav since they are just the bomb! Oh and yea, I think JJenn are some pretty good newcomers. They sing for a reason. happy.gif

i don't really listen to Hmong music or at least the hmong boy band and girl bands that are currently up now. but xanakee and the hmong oldies rock! and my favorite is sounders (the lead singer is actually my uncle and the rest of the members are my cousins) but that's not why i like them best. they are different from the rest of the bands, more rockish which i like. i enjoy a few songs from paradise and whyteshadow too.
however there are some up and coming hmong artist with amazing talent. if you haven't heard of them you should definitely check the out.

proto-j: (he doesn't have hmong songs up but he's darn good) http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...2a-733d4e1d7a62

Kaishek Vang:

With the newer generations, Hmong's music came a long way and gradually improving. Nowadays it’s impressive to find hmong bands that have such modern music.
