The campus can be quiet on weekends but I hear it's not as bad as UCI. But honestly if you join clubs and whatnot there is always at least one thing going per weekend. Plus if you have friends just chilling is a thing to do in itself. There is only nothing to do if you lock yourself in your dorm room and do nothing.
Thanks for the help, AngieK
It's always interesting to hear different peoples' perspective on things lol.

i don't think it will make much of a difference though being in one college vs. another. (haha maybe i'm wrong) i heard ERC dorms are really nice. :].
yeah...i wanted muir cuz the GE's were so easy xDDD (or easier than the rest)
there actually is a difference
i found out that each college is specified for certain majors and stuff
for example, muir is usually the college for double majoring
whereas ERC is for international studies/humanities
sixth is for arts
uhh..revelle? (i forgot the college) is for premed...(for the sciences)
something like that...
and yeah, my friend says that ERC has the best dorms xDD
^ @ AzN_cHiC89:
that's the problem with technology....
mistakes are bound to happen...at least they caught it within a few hours
could have been worse xDD
besides, it's not like SD is the first school to do it
and it most definitely will not be the last
i personally know a few students this happened to
stinks that they went through that, but most of them weren't affected too much by it...so that's good ^^

You technically can't choose your roommate unless you fill out a roommate request form and request to live with your some friends/people you know. Usually, you fill out a questionnaire form through the housing website when you sign up for housing and they will use that to pair you up with people. So basically, housing is random and hopefully you get lucky and get some cool roomies. Also, if you want to live in a triple, you can request for that as well. If you're going to live in a triple though, make sure you get the ones in Blake and Argo because the one in the Fleets are a lot smaller. But I seriously would recommend a double.
Revelle's roommate request form does absolutely nothing. I asked for science/engineering-major roommates, and I ended up getting a theater-major and an English-major roommate. They had nothing in common with what I requested. In addition, they were both guys. That's 2 more Y chromosomes than I asked for.
Trust me. It matters very little what you put down.

No prob.

If you request for a specific roommate (like a high school friend or something in the same college as you) you'll most likely get them as a roommate. BUT in terms of roommate preference (no smoking, etc etc.) it's a little harder. It's really a hit or miss.

haha.. well i just checked out the campus as a newly admitted freshman at WARREN! (WOOT). the basic outline of the whole area is kind of trashy compared to another school i like, uc irvine, but i noticed that warren's college and dorms are MUCH nicer than the other schools so i'm pretty satisfied.
there seems like a lot of asian/white/etc NERDS everywhere! hahah.. i love it xD
UCSD '13 baby! =D

(this is truly a curious question)
i haven't been on campus myself yet (planning to make the trip next weekend)
but from what i heard from my friend, SD's campus is pretty darn good...(maybe that was her biased opinion) xDD
and by other schools...do you mean the other colleges on campus or other UCs/schools in general?
<.< >.>
either way, i already signed my intent.. xDD so i guess i'll learn to love it all >.<

Augh it took me 10 minutes to get from Center to Geisel because of Admit day.
Minji - what is your Physics 1C lecture time and Physics 1CL lab date/time? I'm also taking physics 1C/1CL. Too bad I missed lecture on Friday. ^^;;
