Also, for a soompi meet, we could probably have a little get together/party at my apartment for convenience, make it kind of like a potluck or something. Just a little idea. Only things are rides for people and I'd have to talk to my roommate, but i'm sure he'd be fine with it, he likes asian people that's why he's living with me

if you're looking for a good vietnamese cuisine place...there's a restaurant about 15 minutes or so away from campus (according to my bro who lives in SD)...

i've been there a couple times...they give huge portions (compared to the OC).. and is fairly priced

"pho ca dao" ....you can get a HUGE serving of pho for 6 dollars xD
they also have com tam, springs rolls, egg rolls etc.

that's the only restaurant i've been to located in SD though >.<

but have yet to explore those other places you mentioned.

beach thing usually doesnt work cause most people really dont know how to get there (i sure didnt when i first went to UCSD).


so we have to decide on date, time, where we are meeting up at school, and where (plus how...) to go.

the 23rd is the day before classes actually start
and there's still events and stuff on that day...so some of the 1st years may either be getting ready or going to the events

as for the place we all meet up at school
it depends on whether we need to take a shuttle/bus or w/e to get to the place we're going...so once we decide on a place, we can decide where to meet up for convenience

well if we have enough drivers, we can go to convoy or something. if not...i guess we can take the shuttle to UTC or the...other plaza that i forgot the name of (or we can still meet up, take bus, and go to the beach. however, thats under the condition that everyone gets their free bus pass sticker)
