any tips/advices for my possible next quarter's classes? or any books anyone is willing to sell to me? haha.
spanish 2a
muir50
chem 6b
psych 3
gospel choir/freshmen seminar (for fun)
if i take 6bl, i'm thinking of taking it either instead of psych 3 or instead of the gospel choir/freshmen seminar. does that sound good?
nov. 16th for me for enrollment. i don't think i can wake up for it --''.
& on the side note, super excited for kunFUSION <3.

Hey have you taken ochem lab over the summer? I was wondering if you could recommend me any good bio labs (upper div) if you've taken any over the summer. Thanks :]
EDIT - Some of my friends are in Body Rock and it seems pretty cool

I took ochem lab over fall quarter last year. It was pretty stressful but I pretty much had to concentrate on that one lab class (other classes were GE, chill) so it worked out okay.
As for a fun lab, I highly recommend BIMM101: Recombinant DNA Techniques. I took that over the summer and it was so much fun, but also stressful because we had to write two lab reports in one month (ew). I think I had it harder than most for that class because everyone else had taken molecular biology except me; I didn't think it would be that important to take molecular biology before because the prerequisite was only genetics, but boy was I wrong. I also had to take BIBC103: Biochemical Techniques for my major; I felt like it wasn't as intense as BIMM101, but it wasn't as fun either. Everyone I know recommends BIPN105 but I have no plans to take the hardest lab course in UCSD.

Yea I already considered that one for winter, but I wasn't sure what other labs to take. Who did you take it with?
As for BIPN 105 - dang, that looks pretty tough. I'm told not to really trust CAPE reviews, but damnnn 12 hours/week, not including lab time, sounds pretty difficult. I have to balance chem 140b with bimm 101, lol. I'm hoping it's doable though. Thanks for the heads up! I'm not taking molecular bio at all, so yea... ^^;;

Hey I didn't say it wasn't doable! >_< I didn't take molbio before taking the lab and I still did pretty well. I took it with Davis, but I heard Butler's the best?

Oh no, I meant something along the lines of "I hope it's doable WITH chem 140b" - lol sorry I wasn't clear about that ^^;; I mean, I'm pretty sure most labs, if not all, are definitely doable, but when taken with other um... strenuous classes, it might not be. But my friends say that BIMM is a good lab to take. A couple of my friends are taking it, but with different professors, that's all. Thanks so much for the advice!

I almost always have back up classes because you just never know. For example, I didn't have any back up classes this quarter and I really regretted it because the plant biology class I'm taking is so not what I thought it would be (a chill elective -- HELL NO).
Then again I didn't have any backup classes for next quarter either because the unit limit is 19.5... I'm taking 18 units for sure next quarter =_=

You can buy it on-line and get it mailed to you or you can buy it at the parking office in Gilman. It depends on what you get, but the yearly permit is five hundred something I think. Or was it six hundred something? O_O
