A lot of my friends are human biology majors. I have some bioengineering friends as well.

Not on your first year, but sometimes they make exceptions for second years (dorming with friends is highly discouraged personally)

It's ERC, not REC ^^;

woops typo haha didnt even notice.

hmm i thought that i was pretty sure on going to SD but after the first day back from break everyones like davis! davis! and older adults are like SD! SD! and now im even more unsure.

i have no idea what to major in and it seems like SD doesnt have that much variety in majors unlike davis? im really bad at science and stuff...

thanks

So how was everyone first day of class for Spring quarter?

Mine wasn't too bad. It was an all science day and man, metabolic biochemistry is INTIMIDATING +_+ Everyone around me are juniors and seniors, it seems...

By the way, what's this I hear about the OVT bridge collapsing? O_O I live at Sixth College so I have no clue...

^I'm from the bay area myself laugh.gif It is quite far from school, but a quick 1.5 hour flight is all you need to get home, so going home on weekends is not completely impossible (albeit prohibitively expensive). Maybe it's just me, but I actually enjoy being far away from home - it seems like the perfect distance (same state but almost opposite side).

really? ^^ nice!!! hahah~
ohhh is your name Min Ji? can i call you that? or...? biggrin.gif
true~~but I hope the tickets won't be too bad....or else we won't be able to afford it...>_<
how often do you go home though?
every weekend? biggrin.gif that costs a LOT of money~lol
hahaah I know!! both in CA, but SD is like on the borderline~haha~

Hahaa, I live in the Bay Area also and.. it sucks to still have braces so i HAVE to go home once a month or so. (if i go to SD, that is.. which is now, most likely.) xD

but according to my research, in the 'non holiday seasons,' tickets are only around 100$ biggrin.gif soo it's not that much per month if you plan to work & stuff (=

Well, I live in San Diego (but I still live at home, lol) and man, gas prices are always rising. Anyways, it's much cheaper to fly, than drive anyways. Considering how many mines and how long you're going to have to drive, and INCLUDING driving through traffic, flying is definitely more convenient and affordable, if you get the tickets at a good time. ^^V
I'm really thankful that you're alive. The news about you is my reason for living. We should meet at least once while living. No matter what you're doing be healthy and always live happily. For you being born, for meeting you... I'm so thankful.

Yeah you can call me Minji ^^
If you can get them at the right time, the tickets can be as low as $100 round trip (like weekday instead of weekends, etc)
I honestly don't go home that often though - only during breaks and weekends if there's an important family event (like I had to go once because of my brother's graduation)

Where can I practice piano?
There are eight practice rooms in Mandeville Center that are available for students from Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.....

I got into Marshall college and my major is pharmacological chemistry. I was wondering about the dorms and the GEs requirements. After hearing about the GE requirements about revelle it seem really hard. How is life on campus in Marshall?

Haha, I know this a random question, but...

What's it like sharing a bathroom / shower with other people in residence halls?
Does it make you feel uncomfortable?
Any tips?
- I know about wearing flip flops in the shower, are there any more I should know about? xD

I don't know if this is true for all colleges, but Sixth College lounge has a piano. Mandeville is okay to practice in but you have to sign up and get keys from an administrator which is a pain in the butt.

I've never lived in residence halls but it's probably better than the apartments since in the apartments there's one shower, one toilet for 3-5 people X_X Plus the janitors come by every day and clean so it won't be that bad... The hardest part is probably working out some kind of schedule with your suitemates so you can take a shower without getting late for class or something like that +_+

hehe~
I just read a few posts above this one, I am also wondering about how I'm going to practice piano~I thought that wasn't possible...haha....

and sharing showers, etc. so if we live in dorms, we have to share bathrooms, etc.?

Revelle has 2 piano rooms, on the bottom floor of Argo hall.

My roomie is in Revelle.
Revelle is a great college if you're a bio major...but if not...
YOU ARE DOOMED with many many bio classes.

But could always transfer to different college once you are in. happy.gif
