Before I do anything else I wanted to ask here because If I mess with it I'll break it more. tears.gif

About a week ago I watched a region code 2 DVD and changed my region and after that none of my DVD's would play when I try to play them on my comp. I don't know if that's why it broke but I don't know what to do.

My DVD-RW & ROM don't show up on my comp at all but they're there.

I'd really appreciate any help, I wanna try to get it fixed~

THANKS FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE! I really appreciate it.

Right click, uninstall. Do it to both drives, restart the computer and let windows find it again.

Scroll down to the IDE/SCSI controllers should be something like that in your device manager. Uninstall the SECONDARY controller and restart.

You might want to do a system restore in the event you used one of htose weird drivers to over-ride the region coding on the DVD.

Also keep in mind your DVD drives have a maximum of 3 or 4 firmware changes that you can do. 3 region changes that is.

u prob hav the wrong region setting for playing of ur dvd disks. in all likelyhood ur dvd drive is just fine. DVD Region+CSS Free, try this program...it will obliterate region coding on the drive and dvd disks...so then u can play almost anything.

another thing is the more dvd-drives u hav the less stable the ide system for ur computer. try deleting all trace of both drives via the device manager, a pop-up shud come up with new hardware detected. If all else fails, try re-flashing drive firmware using something like Omni-patcher.
