appealing to UC's

has anyone ever tried appealing to UC admissions?
i'm curious as to how this works and any success rate biggrin.gif

You simply send them a letter bringing to light new information. The success rate has always been really low (5 to 10 percent).

if you get rejected after the first appeal, send them another appeal, saying: "please reconsider... blah blah blah"

my friend got in with an appeal letter today (UCSD)
she deserved it though becuase her GPA was 4.1 and sats: 1960
and she was some how rejected...

UC`s can`t just take every bright student out there unfortunently =/

two years ago i sent 3 appeals to ucd.
they didn't respond to my last appeal LoL!!!

hope it won't happen this year wink.gif

As far as I know, at least for my school, it doesn't cost any money.

i am going to appeal if the schools i want don't let me in. i think i'm going to get my appeal letters ready..... they are taking forever to post admissions (UCLA, SD and Berk)

i have to find something earth shattering to write about... but i don't know what it is just yet.
