Are there any current students who go to SUNY Bing and SUNY Stony Brook?? Everything I hear about the two schools is so, negative (especially since these 2 schools are on alot of the depressing rank lists on princeton review)
please dish out the pros/cons ! (or is the only pro that the schools are extremely affordable? haha)
THANK YOU in advance!

Binghamton..... eh..... I suppose academically we rank a lot better? But still... its binghamton.... hahah.... have you visited it here yet? If not you should... were in the middle of no where... makes me miss San Diego...
But in the end this school is really nice. We have very high employment rates after graduation, especially in the school of management. Also this school is incredibly affordable compared to most schools. Yes we are a public school, but most of the ivy rejects come here so were not that stupid...

It terms of prestige, Binghamton has the edge over Stony Brook. If you live near the city, you might find Stony Brook to be more convenient since Stony Brook is only an hour from the city. Binghamton is like 3 to 4 hours away by driving. I visited Binghamton last year and I didn't really like it there. Bing is in an isolated area... there is nothing much do there. Well, I guess this can be a good thing because that means more study time.
My advice for you is to visit both schools and see how the schools really are....and ask yourself "Do I see myself going here for 4 years?"

Thanks everyone! Without even visiting the two schools, I really didn't feel any strong connection or feeling of wanting to go to both schools so I've chosen another college. But thank you guys for the input once again!

bing is just a little higher... pm me and i'll send you the link with the the link on rating each and every one of them... the other thing is binghamton offers less financial aid.. if you go to stony brook most people pay 5 k a year... at bing... then again stony accepts pretty much everyone.. and most of their programs.. have the same courses.. and some courses are better at stony...
BING ---> 10 k for some of the smartest people i kno.. another person from bx sci.. that i kno has to pay 16 k
so basically bing is like private college tuition cause most private colleges i kno... they give enough grants and scholarships so you have to pay around 16 k a year or less... plus.. privates offer better schooling so... yea...
