I don't have prepaid but I use minutes instead. I have a question though, if i get a crappy minutes phone you know the ones that are free. Then buy a nice prepaid phone and just take the sim card of the minutes phone would the prepaid phone work? 'cos i might do that but i'm not sure if it'll work..could someone help me out.

What service?
I use Virgin Mobile prepaid. My phone doesn't have a sim card. Its like the ones Verizon uses or was it sprint... eh they don't use simcards. Just program the phone.
I think the Tmobile prepaid version gives the option of using a simcard there are many prepaid services out there... check them out and price around.

if you could do that [i don't know if you can though] then wouldn't it be better just to buy a plan and not a phone and then get the prepaid phone and put your sim card into it? you wouldn't use the crappy phone anyway.
