Ahhh, I'm having a problem with MS Word after installing this. T_T Like my MS Word used to be fine and when I installed the East Asian Language packets to type in Korean, my MS Word shows up with this weird thing at the top and bottom.

I uninstalled the languages, and this thing still won't go away. Can somebody please help me resolve this problem? =(

Edit: Nevermind, I got it fixed =)

^ Start -> Control Panel -> Clock, Language and Region -> (Regional and Language Settings) Change keyboards or other input methods -> Change keyboards... -> Add -> Choose Korean (Korea) -> Open the tree and you'll find 1. Keyboard, and 2. Other. In 1.Keyboard, tick Korean and Microsoft IME -> Click Ok -> Ok. And Done!

For those having trouble with this on XP, you really just follow the first post.

For those that can read Hangeul but not type it in Microsoft Office, you have to change the language WHILE you're in the Office window. I learned this the hard way. Make sure your language bar is enabled (right click on start bar > Toolbars > Language Bar). Click on the typing area, then click the EN button to go to Korean. This should do it. Notice that if you click on another application or window, KO will probably turn back into EN. (Language settings aren't universal--they apply to what window you enable them in.)

This applies to your internet browser too. If that's not the problem, then I don't know.

I have a question. Before, i did all those steps so i can type in east asian languages and it worked. But then I had to send my laptop to my uncle and when i got it back it was gone. So now, it tells me i need to insert a windows XP disk? I didn't need one before but now i do

My pc at home is already configured to type in Korean, i just need to click a few keys and it will toggle between roman letters and hanguel.
But whenever i'm away from home and at a different computer and need to type in Korean, I use this website:
