i studied him last yr...so yeah.....
my answers to:
a. Three parts --->
1. Super-ego - telling you all the rules and regulations (morals) which you must follow, really strict...
2. Ego - your self....it kind of balances out the super-ego and the id, so that you're not full strict, but you're aware when to cross the line with your wants...
3. Id - it's hidden...but it's your primitive wants and desires...which you must repress because some of your wants and desires can be harmful to others.

c. stages is as follows:
1. Oral stage - In the oral stage infants and toddler explored the world primarily with their most sensitive area, their mouths. They also learn to use their mouths to communicate.
2. Anal Stage. In the anal stage, children learned to control the elimination of bodily wastes.
3. The Phallic Stage - In this stage, children discover their sexual differences.The controversy comes from Freud's description of the Oedipus (for males) and Electra (for females) complexes, with their attendant concepts of castration anxiety and penis envy, respectively. Those complexes lead, according to Freudian theory, to normal differentiation of male and female personalities. The defense mechanism of repression was invoked to explain why no one could remember the events of this stage.
4. Latency Period - in which little new development is observable. In this stage, boys play with boys, and girls with girls, typically. Sexual interest is low or non-existent.
5. Genital Stage (final stage) - It started around 12 years of age and ends with the climax of puberty. Sexual interests re-awaken at this time (there were sexual interests before, dormant and repressed from the phallic stage).
d. Oedipus complex is basically about a boy having sexual desires for his mother and hate towards the father (wanting to kill him). The oedipus complex is based on the tragic play called: "oedipus the king" [which i read]....and it's basically the same thing....where the boy grows up, unkowingly kills his father and marries and sleeps with his mother (also unknowingly)...anyhooz, because of castration anxieties (because the boy thinks that his mother was "castrated" by the father, the father might do the same to him) he represses these feelings towards the mother and father...and yeah...
e. erm....basically freud's a weird psycho dude and no1's ever tested his theories....so yeah.....it already tells you how he developed...heh....
