2년 만에 정규 5집 앨범 발표를 앞두고 있는 가수 휘성이 음반 재킷 촬영을 앞두고 6kg 이상 감량하는 투혼을 발휘했다.
소속사인 오렌지쇼크에 따르면, 휘성은 6일 진행된 재킷 촬영에 앞서 지난 한 달 동안 조깅과 헬스로 몸무게를 6kg 이상 감량하는 등 이미지 변신을 위한 각고의 노력을 기울였다.

이전보다 훨씬 슬림한 모습으로 변신한 휘성은 6일 사진작가 권영호와 함께 ‘미니멀리즘’을 컨셉트로 한 음반 재킷 화보와 오는 25·26일 서울 올림픽공원 올림픽 홀에서 펼쳐지는 단독 콘서트 ‘2007WHEESHOW’의 공연 포스터 사진을 함께 촬영했다. 이효리, 원빈, 보아 등 스타들의 각종 화보와 광고 사진으로 유명한 권영호는 “간결하지만 강하게 휘성의 스타일리시한 모습을 담아 밝은 이미지를 부각시켰다”고 밝혔다. 이와 함께 휘성의 스타일 메이킹을 위해 이주영, 박종철 등 패션 리더들 사이에서 인지도가 높은 국내 유명 디자이너들이 휘성의 팬을 자청하며 화보촬영에 동참해 눈길을 끌었다.

한편, 완성도 높은 후반작업을 위해 5집 음반 발매를 당초 16일에서 23일로 일주일 연기한 휘성은 5집 신곡을 선보이는 첫 무대가 될 단독 콘서트 준비와 함께 녹음 막바지 작업에 몰두하고 있다.

Approaching the announcement of his 5th album in 2 years singer Wheesung lost over 13lbs before his album jacket photoshoot and displayed his fighting spirit.

According to OrangeShock, before the 6-day album jacket photoshoot Wheesung went jogging and exercised at the gym for one month to lose weight, showing great effort to change his image.

Slimmer than before, Wheesung with photographer Kwon Young Ho spent 6 days shooting the 'Mini Mausoleum' concept album jacket pictures but also the posters for his August 25, 26th solo concert '2007WHEESHOW.' Kwon Young Ho, famous for his various photos and ads of Lee Hyori, Won Bin, Boa, and other stars, reveals that he "captured Wheesung's stylish appearance and highlighted his bright image concisely but strongly." Also to make Wheesung's style Lee Joo Young, Park Jong Chul and other various fashion leaders along with famous Korean designers who declared to be Wheesung's fans participated in the photoshoot and attracted attention.

In the meantime, to achieve a high degree of perfection for the latter half, the sale date for the 5th album has been moved from the 16th to the 23rd. Wheesung is concentrating on the preparations for his solo concert which will be the debut of his 5th album song along with final recording work.
