but the only two that fit the true meaning of a "point guard" would be jason kidd and steve nash
in my opinion jason kidd is better, if not the same, as steve nash..no cuz im a nets fan
but because they basically have done the same thing..except kidd did a little "more"
first, kidd and nash were both on the suns a LONG time ago, and kidd taught nash how the play the point guard position. second, new jersey had nobody..i MEAN nobody when kidd took them to the nba finals the first two years there..he carried them, nd had no allstart, or even superstar..RJ was a rookie, nd kenyon martin was horrible, kerry kittles sucked. all of the sudden kittles is averagin 19 , rj is gettin 19, nd martine is gettin 19 and 9...yea i kno nash took the suns very far last season nd probobly this season too...but did they go to the finals?..no..AND nash has MUCH better players than kidd did...yu kno it.
in my opinion..kidd nd nash can both pass extremley well and no1 can do it better than them. Kidd to me is more a fast break type nd nash is more of a half court type, buh they both excel at playing both stlyes
Nash did get the MVP award last year, buh kidd got robbed by duncan the two years he took the nets to the finals. Nash's numbers ARE better..nd nash is a better shooter..hands down of course..but nash is in his prime, you all agree yea?..hes gettin 19.3 points. 4.1 rebounds and 10.6 assists per game..kidd..in his prime averaged 20.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 10.8 assists...
also..the point guard position does not require to score..scoring has nothing to do with playing the point guard position the way it was ment to be
also..jason kidd is a triple double machine...76..3rd all time...8 this season

just to correct you, Jason Kidd never averaged 20 points in his career before.
Yea, kr1x so where the hell are you getting your stats from?
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/jason_kidd/index.html
His highest average was 18.7 ppg.
gg, come back with good primary sources.
and richard, give up on kobe becoming mvp.

lol not to mention that he's like almost always injured
i think chris paul will become the best point guard in the league in a couple years. he almost did the same thing that steve nash did with the suns except not as good as he did. but when you think about it, chris paul has a worse team than steve nash did when he came to the suns. sure the suns had like 20 something wins the season before but they still had shawn marion, amare stoudemire, joe johnson, and quentin richardson just came. chris paul's only decent teammates were pj brown(who's getting older and worse), desmond mason, speedy claxton, and david west. not to mention that paul is only a rookie and is going to improve. i wouldn't be surprised if he has more triple doubles in his career than jason kidd by the time paul retires.

You have to understand, Nash isn't a great basketball player, he just plays agressivly, which allows him to be in that level, he oculd've became pro at any sport he played. Crazy isn't it?
so are you saying anyone that plays aggressively could dominate at any sport they want?
