i'm gonna actually be cosplaying this year for an anime expo =]

i've chosen someone with a simple costume to cosplay.
this character basically wears a school uniform under a lab coat, with white rimmed round sunglasses with reddish pink lens. (i'll give you a cookie if you can guess who

) i've already found the glasses and the lab coat. but i dont have a school uniformish articles of clothing.

i've never really done cosplaying before, so i dunno where to get the costume-ish for them.
for cheap. and i cant sew for beans =P

so for those who buy clothes that resemble who you cosplay, are there certain stores you look?
and about how much do you spend on your materials/cosplay costume budget?

It didn't even take me a minute to figure out that you're cosplaying as Ema Skye from Phoenix Wright! HAHA

Hmm, you can try looking around Little Tokyo for stuff like that. Have you tried asking Nick about that stuff, Esther? He might know something.

I'd like to cosplay as Miles Edgeworth, but I dont know where to get the outfit...

you could probably get the labcoat (a real one) quite easily by going to a store in your college (that has science)

as for labcoat.. with round glasses...you must be..

That's a pretty cute character. I heard that game is good. As for the uniform, have you tried eBay? Or maybe commission your idea to a costume maker or just design it yourself? Anyways, let us know how everything goes or an update.

i knew you'd figure this one out dood =P thank you x394827098 for finding a full length scan of ema. i tried googling, but i couldnt find how short/long her skirt was and what kinda socks/shoes she wore.

i havent seen nick around school (he has a class close to mine) so i'll be sure to ask him
i'm asking one of my friends to cosplay as phoenix, since it's simple: suit, spike hair back =P

Speaking of Man-Faye... I heard he was "banned" from attending the inside part of the convention. Or something like, they wouldn't allow him to purchase the convention pass. Had to do something with his "too" revieling attire lol. This was last year though.

Man-Faye was in line trying to buy a pass, but AX/ACC staff found him and escorted him out of the building. Man-Faye stayed outside of the convention center. ACC and AX staff couldn't do anything since that area is considered public grounds. So Man-Faye jsut stayed out there and took pictures with anyone who asked. I've heard rumors that AX might let him back in this year, but I doubt it.

As for his "revealing" attire, I've seen girls wearing things far more inappropriate than him. Last year I saw some girl was just in some stringy looking undergarments. It was quite morbid and ACC didn't do anything about it.

Nothing wrong with that imo, I'd allow it. They are girls, no complains from me.
