This is getting real popular so forgive me if this is a repost.

It's supposedly an old muscle car painting technique for the man on the budget.

The basic idea is to use rusteoleum, mineral spirits and high density foam rollers.

After the original paint is sanded, you mix the rustoleum with the mineral spirits and thin it down to water like density.. and apply to the car with the rollers..dry.. wetsand.. apply again.. dry.. wetsand .. etc.

It's not the best looking paint or the shiniest.. but for 50 bucks.. you can't really complain now can u.

I guess the advantage to this over a bunch of spray cans is cost and no primer is needed. Maybe some clear coat would be nice.

Sounds like how those people do computer casemods. They usually spray tho and I hate spraypaint... maybe ill roll on the paint for my next computer.

Neat concept

i've heard of this before.
one of the other members here did it to his car too. i never saw pics, but he said it looked pretty good.

judging from your pics, maybe i should consider this method of painting the car too.

getting the right mixture is a little confusing....

im using firehouse red and its coming out a little pink.. which is cool but
im finding that i need to thin it out more and more.. like almost a 1:1 mix ratio.. not sure what im doing wrong but oh well.. the wetsanding fixes everything.. this is very time consuming.
