so i spilled water yesterday on the keyboard that's built into my laptop, and i dried it with paper towel but i could tell that some of the water has seeped in between the keys.
i believed eveything would be okay because it's only water and it'll dry/evaporate...but
now some of the keys aren't even working when i type it crazy.gif
im using as onscreen keyboard right now mellow.gif
my mouse and tracking pad seems to be working weird as well when i try to drag.
and when i go on powerpoint to view a slide show..i used the scroll arrows to move on to the next slide, and it does..but in the corner where it would say slide "2 of 7" it would stay that way even if i'm on another slide like slide 4.
could this be a virus blink.gif and no effects from ther water??
sad.gif i want to cry, it has only been 8 months with my ibook.

well when you spill water on any electronic, the best thing to do is turn it off and keep it off until every single drop of that water is gone [i.e. lightly hair dry]... recently i dropped my psp into the toilet [don't ask-___-] and it was on so it completely died but had it been off and stayed off i don't know what would have happened. anyway the best thing to do is to take it to an apple store i suppose.

Let the thing evaporate!
You are lucky it didn't short out and burn out on you when you spilled the water. Keep the screen open, turn the thing off and just let it air. It will eventually be dry and safe enough to use.
