‘은초딩’ 은지원이 오랜만에 ‘예능인’이 아닌 ‘아티스트’로 친구의 데뷔 앨범을 위해 헌신해 화제다.

신인 힙합듀오 ‘아이콘(ICON)’이 그 주인공. 아이콘의 리더이자 프로듀서인 킵루츠(KEEPROOTS, 본명 이근수)는 KBS ‘1박2일’과 MBC ‘스친소’ 등에 은지원의 친구로 출연하며 대중에게도 잘 알려져 있는 인물이다. 특히 킵루츠는 은지원의 'Adios','Dangerous' 등 은지원 미니앨범전곡 뿐만 아니라, 마이티마우스의 '무비스타', MC몽의 '페르시안 고양이', 'Lucky man' 다이나믹 듀오의 '잔돈은 됐어요' 라이머의 '서른즈음에', 리쌍의 '일터' 등 수많은 히트곡들을 작곡한 히트메이커이기도 하다.

또한 킵루츠와 함께 팀을 구성한 에이멘(AMEN, 본명 이승민) 역시 유명 가수들의 랩선생님으로 유명하다.

은지원은 “나의 모든 것을 줄 수 있는 친구”라고 이들을 소개하며 “사실 타이틀곡인 'Beautiful Lady'는 킵루츠가 작업한 내 새 앨범의 타이틀곡이었다. 하지만 고생한 친구의 멋진 데뷔를 위해이 곡을 양보하게 됐다. 앞으로 이들에게 많은 관심 부탁드린다”며 아이콘에 대한 애정을 과시했다.

은지원은 여기에 그치지 않고 타이틀곡 'Beautiful Lady'의 보컬 피처링으로 참여했다. 'Beautiful Lady'는 아름다움을 지닌 여성에 대한 구애를 가사와 음절속에 중독적으로 반복시키고 있는 일렉트로닉 신스 힙합곡이다.

킵루츠는 “지원이는 서로 눈빛만 봐도 마음을 읽을 수 있는 친구이기 때문에 이번 앨범을 작업하는 동안 여러모로 많은 힘이 되어 주었다”며 “특히 바쁜 스케줄에 ?기면서 자신의 앨범을 녹음하느라 목상태가 너무 안 좋았던 최악의 상황에서도 타이틀곡에 랩이 아닌 보컬로 참여해 줬다”며 고마움을 표시했다.

킵루츠는 현재 조만간 출시 예정인 은지원의 새 음반 프로듀서를 맡았다.

IDK if i'm reading the translations right but from what i understood, 'Beautiful Lady' is supposedly Jiwon's title track for his upcoming album but he gave it up because of their friendship? Not sure too but i think it was Keeproots who composed the song for Jiwon but they had some trouble for their debut album so they needed the song instead~ can someone clarify, please? i'm confused!^^ cause if that is the case, then we know now why his album is delayed yet again. & with that, i'm at peace. Hehe! ..it was for a good cause! : )

That's our true testament we love him, blemishes and all! The recent epi too, when it was 3am and he seems to barely have enough rest, he's still adorable. Oh and Epi 127 (was it?) the hiking epi, when he was so sleepy during the soccer match and his eyes are already drooping - cuuuute. But I feel sad cause he's so out of it yet he manages to keep himself awake. One has got to have a lot of practice in that kind of situation - keeping eyes open when you so want them to close. Haha.

I get what you mean G. Well, in reality Jiwon is not the IDEAL man since he doesn't give off that vibe. But in second glance which is (actually) more important than 'first look' you realize that he's not that prince charming you've been dreaming of, rather he's that REAL atypical man that you didn't know you've been waiting for so long. He's flawed and unreserved unlike the Mr. Right you've created in your brain but he's just perfect in the sense that he complements your life really well. And then it dawns on you, there's no need for a statuesque man mounted on a white horse with a cape and a sword in order to take your breath away, just a silly guy that makes you laugh and comforts you with surreal realism.

He's the Paris to your Romeo. Gatsby to Tom. Demetrius to Lysander. Night Owl to Dr. Manhattan. (<- LOL!)

There might not be too much "physical" Hodong/Jiwon interactions recently but I've noticed that Hodong would, more often than not, consult Jiwon over some ideas. He'd go like: "Jiwon-ah, what do you think.. BBB?" or stuff like that. That was actually not the exact way he asked it but it was in that sense.

And also, I get this feeling that Hodong and Jiwon's mind works in almost the same wavelength. Cause there would be times when they would talk about a certain topic and they didn't even plan or connive on it or sth but they are totally on the same page with the teasing.

In short: Hodong = starter. Jiwon = enabler. And we all know how Hodong needs his enablers.

I noticed that too bout Hodong. It's always Jiwon that he 'consults' first. Its not that he doesn't ask the opinion of the others but more often than not, its Jiwon that he usually asks first. But something i noticed too bout Jiwon, when it's a group task and they win, it's usually Hodong that Jiwon looks to first to share his happiness with and then he'd jump on him. lol~

Well, it's not that I disliked Seunggi for good, just that particular moment. Sometimes he can be really too assertive, we have to admit that much. And if you put it that way, now I feel somehow guilty. Haha. IF Jiwon was to do that he'd be completely off the hook but what can you do, that's the advantage of being called choding and the downside when you're looked up as 'THE emperor'. That's why Jiwon said it was a burden sometimes (KJE Chocolate on his re: fame). But let's think about this for a sec, realistically speaking - I don't think Jiwon would do that. It's completely unnecessary labor, I don't think Jiwon ever volunteered to cook before. Haha.

So, if Jiwon and Hyori did hit it off in the past that would have been awkward or they could just think it's all in the past and they were 'young' then. LOL. Why would he even bother to cook right when he can just enjoy eating when everything's done~ he might as well just get some beauty sleep! ..or play PSP, haha! Well, i guess i'm one of those who weren't annoyed with Seunggi cause i actually find it cute that he was being stubborn and all. I somehow found it charming that he was confident with his cooking skills (with the help of the recipe book of course hehe) even though everyone was pretty much against him experimenting, especially with the little money that they had. He might be the youngest but he is able to assert himself! It was amusing watching him scrambling to find the ingredients and add to that are his hyungs who are obviously against his plans, haha! Although in real life, if my younger brother/sister would be like that, for sure i'll be irritated as hell haha~

Anyhow, i haven't also finished watching CTP cause i suddenly lost my connection last night while i was watching it. But from what i was able to watch, i somehow got into this conclusion that Hyori and Jiwon...... did not date!

It's funny cause I was late to notice that both were released nearing the holidays. I realized it just now, I was missing him perform so I re-watched old perfs, it was not until the 6th performance that it hit me when he keeps greeting the crowd "a Merry Christmas". Haha. For someone so observant, I missed a big and obvious one there. LOL

if my brother or any of those younger than me,who are close to me,i mean not a mere stranger,does that to me,they will either get some beating/their eardrums burst bcoz of my yelling/silent treatment and refusal to buy anything/not going to give him whateva i have cooked~ well they wont even dare~ most of ppl who knows me would know that would annoy me and they would get some severe punishment if they ever do that to me~ i am quite scary when i want to be~ XD

I actually like it that his past 2 albums were during the holiday season! 'cause i love the way they set up the stage! ..so christmas-y!^^ & yeah i guess Jiwon likes the Christmas season so much that he even had his concert on the eve of Christmas day! (oh how i would love to spend Christmas with Jiwon! ^ _ ^ ...even from afar! i'm cool with that haha)

I'm a bit wary about him releasing his album in December though~ ..cause i'll be away for a week for the holiday season which means i won't be able to see his performances, especially the year-end Gayo's, til i get back. All along i really thought it was Jiwon who was singing at the start!^^ ...but he sure loves wearing suspenders back in the day huh? lol. For You, Ye Gam, Remember and Couple are my favorite songs of Sechskies. I guess i'm more into their slower songs compared to their dance songs hehe~ but they sure are dance machines! It would be nice if we could see Jiwon dance like the old days again! (..but i think it would be awkward watching him dance now though haha)

I totally have no clue about this, all i can do is just guess~ but my bet is, it's from his album. I'm just confused with the 2010 part. Unless it means the album is slated for next year?? (why baby why!!). But IF this is from his album, oh my, i totally love it! It kinda has an intimate feel to it~ a mature Jiwon perhaps? It sure is D-I-F-F-E-R-E-N-T.
