Well, I've recently gotten bored of the songs in my Dance Dance Revolution Max (1) .. and I want to buy a new DDR. However, I'm having difficulty deciding whether to purchase the Max 2 or Extreme 1 or Extreme 2. What is the difference between Max and Extreme?

And I'm also curious why Extreme is more expensive. @_@
Also, which one has the song "Butterfly"? ^^; It was the first song I danced to and I'm totally in love with it <3 It also brings back memories xP ~

Extreme doesn't really hab that much songs you can play... So I think you're better off buying DDR Extreme 2. It has Boom Boom Dollar and Butterfly. :]

Butterfly is a good song. Not too fast, not too slow; perfect for n00bs beginners that want a challenge.

Extreme 2 should be *50-ish*$ since it's kinda new. Extreme 1 I think is like, $40? Ahsz wellsz. That's why you can research the prices. Lolsz.

max2 has licenses that extreme doesn't have and vice versa. personally, i'd go for japanese extreme, since it has practically all the songs on normal extreme. or hold out until september/october for ddr supernova home version.

Yeah go for the japanese version of DDR extreme. It has more songs in one game then two american ones. And you can get Butterfly.

it's only awesome if it includes the 3rd mix korean songs. like face by nrg.

i personally like my hacked version of ddr extreme. my friend burned it. arcade timing windows (not the huge easy to get perfects timing windows), extra speed mods, and the secret oni steps of love shine completely unlocked

too bad there aren't more ddr disney mix machines around. i heard there's a ridiculous joke 10 footer on there. worse than when supernova was being beta tested, and they accidentally said mugen by terra was a 10 (they changed it to 8 later in the beta i tried).

Ha, all these new, remixed editions are rubbish.
Try the originals with the REAL editions of Dynamite Rave, End of the Century, Paranoia and Dead end. THAT is a good game.

Extreme doesn't have much to play =/ It`s just a couple of songs & they`re not really good to the ears neither lol, well for me that is. I like MAX2 lol x)
