I really dislike mainstream rap/hip-hop cause most of the songs have really crappy lyrics and the beats are similar to each other. Besides that, I dislike heavy metal and trance.

I don't dislike much genre I give them a chance but...
I don't like country (it's too slow for me or just too bla)
I don't like christian rock (i'm not going to listen to 15+ tracks of worshipping bob).
I don't like most mainstream stuff.

i agree. cant hate any genre's cos every genre has at least one song that i'll like.

however any song where the lyrics arent positive or women bashing i cant stand-and there are songs like that in almost every genre not just rap.

Screamo-type music... is one of those genres I just haven't heard anything I like. Screaming in a song is okay, but screaming throughout the whole damn thing? By the end I just wanna f***ing punch the singer. In case you missed it, anyone can scream. Not anyone can carry a melody. Get some actual talent and come back.
That's why I don't like Dir en Grey as much now.... Few of their songs have melody any more.


Oh, and 99.9% of country. There's maybe one country song I can stand... and even that's pushing it. I think country music is embarassing, honestly. Maybe I'm just pushing stereotypes, but still.

I used to like heavy, but nowI'm betting tired of all the screaming, so I have jumped over to rock and phunk.
