so, you have a D600, and you wish it was a anycall sch-v850, because you can listen to mp3's while doing other stuff like look at pictures or right sms etc. BUUUUUT, i was playing around, and you can listen to mp3s in the backround~ I guess samsung had it on the firmware but never enabled the function on the menu.
anywho heres how.

first go to settings>>security>>privacy>> check the memory card.
Now this setting changes it so you require the standard 00000000 password to go into your memory card.
now go into the Mp3 player and open a playlist and listen to a song. Press the Up button, and it will go to the album list(playlist) and then options>>add music from>>memory card, now it will ask you for the password, hit the end call button. it will go to the home screen and the mp3 will still play~! you can go into the menu and use the all functions that dont require sound like write a text etc.

now all i need is some dmb... =P

hmm i tried it but when i try adding songs to it and put my pass and press end button it just closes. whats your firmware?

did you flash your d600?? i think you flashed yours or yours have the newest firm.


ok i tried doing this but it makes my d600 freeze while stilling playing the song. anyone know to flash phones?? and this works for one song or thats what i heard.

i dont have the newest firmware. i have D600JVEJ4. i flashed it before, but i haevnt flashed it recently. i tested it on my friends d600 and it works. he has D600XAEIA firmware, but on my other friends that im currently uploading games on doesnt work, it freezes the phone and he has D600DXEJ3. through further testing, it will only work with the currently playing song it wont change tracks on your playlist. My mp3 player will shutoff if i look at pictures, but my friends doesnt do that.

yeah i found this on another forum and it doesn't work with some firmwares......o well I guess i gotta wait to upgrade it, its kind of a pain not being able to do ne thing else =(

I found a modded firmware, that allows this and plus other crazy functions, but i lost my serial data cable for firmware flashing. If anybody wants this you can PM me for it =].

u need a serial data cable, not the standard usb data cable that comes with the phone.
