I don't really know about any of these choices but I always heard about DBSK competing with SS501.

DBSK and SS501, there's even a poll between them in korea. SS501 became very popular after their new image and show.

The funniest thing i think is every one compare SS501 together with DBSG but i think SS501 are not as good as DBSG.
So i think DBSG are trying to be the second Shinhwa i think it makes more sense.

Minwoo and Jang Woo Hyuk
because they are extremely similar in musical style and performing

I might say DBSG and SS501, but I personally think their styles are different, so its not really a rivalry...they just happen to be rising stars at the same time

No, bashing please "jasmine_korea". Do not say that SS501 are not good as DBSG. Keep comments like that to yourself.

DBSG are not trying to be like the second Shinhwa. They are trying to be like a second H.O.T to be correct. ^^

HOT's style was funkier

DBSG actually remind me of a mix of Shinhwa and Click-B? (without the instruments, of course)

but I personally think HOT and Shinhwa were the biggest rivalry (without getting hostile)

I don't agree with Woo Hyuk and Minwoo one... First, they're friends... Second, WH is a senior to MW... Please don't compare them...

There is no real rivalry between any of them other than friendly (so many of them are friends). >< The 'rivalry is only in the minds of the troublemaking fans.

DB don't want to be known as the 2nd Choti, either (also a rumor started by antis)--since they're also HUGE fans...they just want to be DBSK.

a lot of ppl say itz DBSG and SS501 (obviously when double S came out labeled as their rivals) but you can hardly tell where the riviary is.
both groups are in their own little world with different style. and itz obvious dbsg has a bigger fanbase (afterall they are Hallyu).

out of the list, i say itz between JangWooHyuk and LeeMinWoo.
both artists has major fanbase, top dancers of korea, great album sales...the way i see it...they're more compared together than SS501 and DBSG.
see the gameshows? there's usually a minwoo vs woohyuk. double s members against dbsg members...never.

and true...everyone is friends, but i don't think this topic is based on personal relationships between the celebs, but rather on the media views and industry competition.

dbsg as second shinhwa was totally wrong.
dbsg as second H.O.T is correct. and truthfully...they are the 2nd H.O.T, as in popularity wise. you gotta admit...DBSG is the H.O.T of this new generation. they are the 2nd H.O.T to SM as well as the the kpop industry. boybands were dead for a while until DBSG came out.
and of course...the H.O.T formula was used on DBSG and came out a success. meaning...sm's formula of H.O.T works.

I would say Woohyuk and Minwoo.

Like many other people said, they are very similar in music style, both are dancers, both have similar album sales and both are breakout artists from boy bands.

I don't think BoA and Hyori are even rivals or at leats they shouldn't be. Don't interpret this as "bashing" because it's just straight-up facts: BoA has sold MANY more albums than Hyori, BoA's musical style is slightly different from Hyori's, Hyori is nowhere near BoA in success as far as credibility, fame, and performance-aspects are concerned.

However, I can understand why people consider them to be "beauty icon" rivals, because both are pretty and people say they look similar in some photos; but I think that's all that are "rival-worthy" elements of each.
