I've just bought a new ipod video and tried transfering files via itunes. The files do get transferred over (the bar at the bottom of itunes shows that my ipod space is decreasing, but the FILES DO NOT SHOW UP ON IPOD. T_________T

When I plugged in my ipod for a second time, itunes proceeded to update my ipod with the SAME EXACT SONGS. The second transfer worked, BUT I have now used 3 gigs instead of the actual 1.5 gigs that were displayed.

I can't get rid of the non-displayed 1.5 gigs because uh...yes, the obvious, my computer can't detact the missing 1.5 gigs. I've tried with Anapod, and it didn't show up either. Right-clicking for properties did confirm that my ipod is now filled with 3 gigs worth of songs instead of the supposed 1.5 gigs.

I'm far from amused. In fact, I'm going crazy. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

For you... Im not sure. How much do you want it gone? My advice woudl be to just connect it to your computer and do a restore. (try an update first to just reload the software before formatting to get rid of everything) Yeah, that will erase everything. But most likely some data on the ipod was scrabled and a fromat shoudl fix it.
