how do you do it? coz i dled 2 videos which is actually one video.. or do i have to watch them both separately?

another question..both parts are in unknown file formats (blahblah.avi.001)--i renamed the first part so that it ends with .avi. so the computer recognizes the type of file as a video clip right? but WMP can't play it. which leads me to assume that i have to combine the split parts of the video (question above) the second question is, can i rename back the original file so that the computer recognizes it as an unknown file? or do i have to dl that file again?

Easiest to just watch it seperately, but if you insist on merging them I shall get you a program

Those XXX.avi.001 files can be joined by using Hjspilt. Do not rename the .001 file, leave it as it is. Once you've dl Hjspilt, there are simple instructions on whats next

Oo HJspit. I HATE it when people use weird programs like that. The standard is either rar or zip. Sometimes 7zip. But HJspit is so rare and random that I don't like it

hmmm i don't think rar and zip files are split, they are files that need to be extracted.

Rar files can be chopped up into parts while these hjsplit files are almost just cut in half. Rar at least has some compression and you can often recover and fix files. This is too uh... simple maybe reminds me of an old dos combine and split program
