this is my first job that i'm actually filling out an application for.
so i have forms from tim hortons, burger king and shoppers drug mart.
i'm hoping to work for tim hortons, but i don't know what position to write down. and for salary expectations, what should i write? the employment history.... if i don't have any, should i write N/A for all the blank spaces? my teacher from my careers class says that to never leave any blank spaces.
for shoppers drug mart, there was front store supervisor and merchanidiser positions available, but i looked them up and for both i needed experience, in which i have none. so what position should i put down?
should i also attach a cover letter with all the forms, along with my resume?
i'm 16 btw. thanks in advance!

talk to ppl who works there or ur manager, ask them all the questions but remember 1st impression is very important but not that important that u've to stress over it, ask them which positions are avaible and if u havent worked be4 then leave it blank on the employment history or write down things that u did to earned money such as babysit or anything even a lil things would help, and u dont need to a resume to work at burger king (do u?), just fill out the application and wait till they call u or wait for like a week or 2 and call them, keep call them till they give u a job or reject because it show that u really want the job
btw, u're great, i never ever think about getting a job when i was at ur age...lol *feel a shame*

Do you know anyone that work at the places you're applying to? If so, ask what their starting wage was... Or just write in whatever the minimum wage is. Odds are if its your first job you'll get paid very little.
For position, write in merchandiser. There's no way an employer would make a 16 year old with no experience supervisor. You're going to have to work your way up that long chain of command.
Work experience... Hmmm... Have you ever tutored anyone? Or babysat? Volunteer? Any of those things count as work experience.

Ugh, i hated applying for my first job last year when i was 16. half the application questions weren't even applicable, anyway. and then a lot of places wouldn't consider someone who was only 16. eventually, i got a job on the spot without an app at all.
but good luck. be polite even if the managers and employees are really rude to you at first. and yes, there's no way you'd be hired as a supervisor. would you even want to be? maybe not. find out as much as possible about the available positions (hours, dress code, money, etc.) and then rank them if you get more than one taker you'll know which one to choose. and be extra polite if you defer a job offer for another one--you might want that other job later.

Hey, look! Finally a different signature after all these years!

Anybody worked in McDonald's before?
You have to be 16 right? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm hoping I'm wrong cause I need a job a.s.a.p & my bday has yet to come ><;
Btw, if you have, and you started out in the beginning.. how much did you earn? Min. wage?

you have to be 18 to work at Shoppers
but the Tim Horton's in Calgary pay $8.50/hr but for expectations just write something lower than that..like $7.50
I think you should apply for the counter people...I dunno what they're called...counter help...counter clerk?, but I don't think you'd want to leave it blank

my friend worked at mcdonalds for 9months before she quit. she earned 5.75/hr, and it sucked :\
i got my first job when i was 16 at a restaurant as a waitress xD and i think it's okay to put "N/A" for the past jobs. some of the waitresses who got hired had their job appl like that, but you know how - I - got the job? haha when i came in for the application, i talked with them a lot. i was filling the app out and joking with them, and i guess they felt comfortable having me as a future worker.
