Whenever I try to open up a file from my documents, Word does some virus check and doesnt open the file. It doesn't let me exit the program or even open up task manager. I usually have to open all files after I start Word first. It's a pain in the neck. Can I somehow fix this?

That's weird. Mine does a virus check and takes like a minute doing that, then opens the file... o__o" Ask Mr.Super Technologicaly -oriented Scary Guy, AKA Awdark.

There should be an option in your ANTI VIRUS.
The "popular" ones like Norton and McAfee should have an option in the preferences or settings
look around for it. or go to your anti viruses website
