It all depends on which class you're taking.
I took a Canadian Studies class this year, and my final grade was an A-. It was relatively easy though, just like my French class in which I also received an A-.
So you see, it IS possible w/o having to be a genius. What matters is whether or not you ENJOY the class and are willing to put the time and effort into doing well.

well it depend what class and waht professor is teaching it...like getting an "A' for me in Mathematics is difficult for me but all my life i've been getting As in math courses so yeh but the professor that i got was hard put very hard and tricky question on test and take out points for nothing wriitng the "equal sigh like an equal sign" lol i wrote it sloppy but come on.....

but getting As for course like Sociology, Economics, PE, etc is not a hard thing and some courses you jsut gotta put some effort to earn the "A"

oh darn everyone took what i wanted to say! lol but here some tips i use: if you ever know that you need help on any assignment, dont hesitate to ask a tutor. i find that i'm getting better on my writing because i meet with a tutor every week. and here another tip, if you dont understand some things lecture through class try looking it up, do a bit more of research on the topic or area of study currently on, etc.

depends on which college you go to...it's really really hard to predict these things...try not to look too far in the future and deal with what's ahead first. haha you seem like an anxious high schooler judging from your previous posts just as i was...but if you do what you're told...you should do at least okay

A's are definitely achievable if you put in the effort. I've gotten 8 A's in college so far, I'm expecting at least 2 more this semester... all of them were the result of a lot of studying, hard work, & all-nighters (this isn't good). Oh, I'm in Pharmacy school.

It's harder than high school to score an A in college. Strangely enough, it's not because of the workload, but everything else. I seem to be so damned busy with other things like work, family, friends (though rarely because of the lack of time), and of course procrastination. It's pretty hard, though if you have focus then it should be no prob.

well, its not too hard for certain classes.

i did reaaaalllllyyy bad in my first term. i got 2.3 in first term of fresh year. (B, B, C, C)
heres how the rest of college turned out so far:
2nd term fresh yr: A, A, A, A-, B, B- =3.55
1st term soph yr: A, A, A, A, A-, B- = 3.73

Overall: 3.33

that 2.3 grade really brought me down mostly cuz i jus slacked.
im not doing as good this term but i try my hardest inthe easier classes in order to make up for the harder classes.
you prolly need to werk on procrastination or study habits?
definitely get tutoring before u fall behind anymore.

**i am such a hypocrite. im procrastinating right now. sleep.gif

I think it is really easy to get As at my school (and at most universities). However, my grades dipped when I got the hives. At one point, I was on pace to get straight As. Then I had three exams in one week, and I just happened to get a case of severe hives right before the exam. Now I'm staring down the barrel of straight B+s or A-s (I had an A- in physics last semester. I freaked out, lol.. the course was THAT easy!).

But for the most part, when I put my head in the game, I come out on top. It just depends on how much you work. I brought my GPA from a 2.7 to nearly a 3.4 in just one year!

It's really hard to get As in my school-i heard it was the hardest in the science departments and in econ. It's also somewhat hard to get Ds unless you're not trying at all. There are some Cs...but the grade my school gives out is mostly Bs. There is also a grade deflation policy in place in my school to limit the number of As given in each class. I savor the very few A minuses that I did get.

eR well first and second years i got 3.9 and 3.7 GPA. I guess the classes were easier?

I just paid attention in class, tried to understand the material instead of memorizing, and learned my professors testing habits so I can get used to the format and the way they think.

My third year is sucking real bad though dry.gif hahahhahaa
I think it's because classes got harder.

hmm...it depends on the classes you take and how well you know the material.

i took korean and japanese together, and got As in those classes. so it's not impossible. you just have to keep up with your work, ask questions or see the teacher after class to get extra help...read carefully...stuff like that.
i write an important thing, and do not let's finish. a way of writing for freedom.

i think it depends on the professor the most, and if the class is bellcurved.. the people in the class

i go to SFU (Canada BC).. and for most classes there, the avg mark is somewhere around a C+, however i think that some professors expectations are more lenient then others and therefore would offer a better mark for the same amount of knowledge, while other professors would refuse to scale because it "promotes laziness"

in the faculty of business however, all business classes at SFU are bellcurved so that the average mark is a C+.. and only 15 percent gets (A+, A, A-)

i find it extremely hard to get As.. but yeah depends on the class, prof, and the ppl in ur class

If you know the subject previously then it should be an easy A. Some classes have exams that's information you need to know straight from the book, that's another A.
If it's logical then you'll have to be both book smart and street smart to get the A.
