I took a Canadian Studies class this year, and my final grade was an A-. It was relatively easy though, just like my French class in which I also received an A-.
So you see, it IS possible w/o having to be a genius. What matters is whether or not you ENJOY the class and are willing to put the time and effort into doing well.

i did reaaaalllllyyy bad in my first term. i got 2.3 in first term of fresh year. (B, B, C, C)
heres how the rest of college turned out so far:
2nd term fresh yr: A, A, A, A-, B, B- =3.55
1st term soph yr: A, A, A, A, A-, B- = 3.73
Overall: 3.33
that 2.3 grade really brought me down mostly cuz i jus slacked.
im not doing as good this term but i try my hardest inthe easier classes in order to make up for the harder classes.
you prolly need to werk on procrastination or study habits?
definitely get tutoring before u fall behind anymore.
**i am such a hypocrite. im procrastinating right now.

But for the most part, when I put my head in the game, I come out on top. It just depends on how much you work. I brought my GPA from a 2.7 to nearly a 3.4 in just one year!

I just paid attention in class, tried to understand the material instead of memorizing, and learned my professors testing habits so I can get used to the format and the way they think.
My third year is sucking real bad though
I think it's because classes got harder.

i took korean and japanese together, and got As in those classes. so it's not impossible. you just have to keep up with your work, ask questions or see the teacher after class to get extra help...read carefully...stuff like that.

i go to SFU (Canada BC).. and for most classes there, the avg mark is somewhere around a C+, however i think that some professors expectations are more lenient then others and therefore would offer a better mark for the same amount of knowledge, while other professors would refuse to scale because it "promotes laziness"
in the faculty of business however, all business classes at SFU are bellcurved so that the average mark is a C+.. and only 15 percent gets (A+, A, A-)
i find it extremely hard to get As.. but yeah depends on the class, prof, and the ppl in ur class

If it's logical then you'll have to be both book smart and street smart to get the A.
