I'm taking the AP Psych test next Wednesday, and I've been doing pretty well in that class. On the 2004 practice test, I got a 84 on the multiple choice, so I'm okay with that. But uhhhh, the essays are what I'm nervous about!

My teacher gave us a list of all of the previously done essays. Does that mean that if they have been used before, they won't show up again?

Are there any Web sites where I can find some practice essay questions? If so, please PM me! biggrin.gif

yeah im taking it too and i got those essays too
theyve been used before so you won't see those exact prompts
i think it may touch again on the same topics but in a different way
you really don't know what you'll see... in all probability there will probably be one that hasnt been tested as an frq yet

LOL I did so horribly on it.

I just took regular pyschology and not the AP class though.
One day before the test, I reread cliff's review (I think). It helped a bit. One thing you should concentrate on is the names. I would say on the multiple choice, I saw questions asking who did what. An easy example would be who was the one who explained the Oedipus complex? Stuff like that. I hope I do not really need to type the answer. If you don't know, then seriously go back and review lol.

haha I messed up so badly on my FR. I accidentally skipped a page and continued writing. I'm not even sure if that last page was graded. -___-"

I got a 4.

Wait... Isn't a four pretty darn good?!

Oedipus Complex- Freud. laugh.gif Boys fear their father because they fear castration, and have a sexual attraction towards their mother. Right? I hope, lol.

Actually, that last page was most likely graded. Many times, they flip through and see if they missed anything, but my teacher said there are times where they don't even look, lol. But if you got a four, then I bet they did read it! So Cliffnotes is really handy?

I got the Barron book, I'll use Cliffnotes as well.

The essay is pretty hard.....last year I took it, they give u a list of words and you have to talk about each of them. I think they gave a situation and you use those words, define it and talk bout it? I forgot......but it definitely has nothing on what my teacher taught me. sleep.gif For the essay only......

o0o0o yea I heard the essay was hard because you have a time limit and you need to show that you're knowledgeable and dig up facts from the bottom of your brain lol

hehee must start studying
and yea ~! I will punish myself by studying math if I dont get a 5 cause I HATE MATH

All of the practice tests were SO easy. This was so difficult!

I thought this test was easy.. I was like omggg thats it?? HAHA compared to the French AP I was like laughing. Its a joke! I just memorized the entire book in a day and omitted some i can't read that I completely forgot. The essay section 1, easy. section 2 = kind of difficult.

Wow, the AP Psych test was super easy. I'm pretty sure I got a 4 at least. The second FRQ might have brought it down from a 5. I skipped 6 questions only.

I think the essays are really just what you can BS in 50 minutes because you can basically draw a definition from the term. I remember one year, you actually got a point for saying "The brain has mechanisms to mediate hunger." (Ventromedial/lateral hypothalamus) I thought the test was okay, a little more memorization of statistics than previous tests. (I took two and there was absolutely nothing about statistics, in regard to studies done.) What I didn't like was that there was nothing on like standard deviation, mean, etc. because on the practice tests I had, there were 3 or so questions as opposed to absolutely none. I also thought it was harder than the ones I had taken earlier. (They were actual AP tests from the past.)

i didn't think the multiple chioce was that easy!
especially that question about the communitive psychologist. i was like sleep.gif?!?!
i spend a lot of time studying the brain but there were only about 3 brain questions.
the essays were easy though.
