lol. i thought it was kinda hard, especially with that one andean song thing...errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
but the free-response+sight singing was really easy, imo

What did you guys learn in that class? is it basically just music theory?
does it require playing some sort of instrument or something?
If you take CMs would that help a lot for this class?

you learn the basic stuff like types of scales; then you learn how to sing (on accuracy, not quality); and you learn dictations where you write down notes and such based on what you hear; most of all you learn the style and technique of Bach's time
for my class, we need to try out, so if you don't have any experience with music, you can't really get in; but i don't know if that's like your case
and i don't know what CMs are

CM definately helps for free response+just the theory part
that was a piece of cake for me
what killed me was listening...like i can't relaly hear stuff. crud and our teacher focused more on free response+theory which i didnt need
he only practiced with us the listening like 3 times the whole year!
