I'm testing only in IB English HL and IB Chemistry HL... so I'm just going for the certificates... Right now my English is pretty strong... I did okay on my oral exam before... and paper one was good. I just need to review my books again before the test on Monday. Chemistry on the other hand isn't as great... I need A LOT of reviewing...

English HL
History HL
Biology HL
Chemistry HL
the two SLs i am taking are Math (obviously) and Spanish.
the poem was actually really easy once i read it through a couple more times.
how long was your essay? mine was 3 pages front and back, plus the front of the 4th page... i think that was fairly average from what i've heard from my friends. and, luckily i talked about almost everything that other people talked about too. so... hopefully i scored well on it.

my essay..? it was the same as urs... i had 3 pages front and back and about half of the 4th page.... what scared me at first was i spent like 40 minutes outlining but when i was looking around everyone was doing the same thing...
i wish i was in class today to talk about the passage... stupid testing!! my teacher got all excited that he was getting the actual passage and peom today... but yeah i heard about the same things on my passage... i just wonder if i got the bigger overview picture of it... i tend to narrow things down a lil too much...

i'm planning on going to med school (read that as taking lots of science courses in college), so i want to have a good background on what i'll learn in college.
and yes, i spend around 45min outlining my essay, as well. haha.

paper 2 in math was a lot more difficult than paper one. still, i think i scored... 'ok' overall. definitely not a 7 and probably not a 6, though.
for bio papers 1 and 2... paper 1 wasn't that bad. i think i did alright overall. judging from what my friends were saying, it seems like 33ish will be the cutoff for a 7.
and paper two. well, the data analysis was easy. like... really easy.
but the essays? oh geez. my responses were not nearly long/detailed enough to merit high marks on those.
oh well, what can you do....
...bio paper 3 tomorrow morning!

they teach HL American history before teaching SL history which i found really weird... i really like this year's teacher over last year's teacher.... i didn't learn anything in HL american history... and would have proabably failed... haha...
next week i think is psychology too... not sure! i would have taken that test except since i'm doing certificates... UW doesn't count SL testing individually...
well gotta do paper 2 in english next week... what works did u guys read? i read huckleberry finn, chronicles of a death foretold, ethan frome, and song of solomon... gotta reread huck though (i'm forgetting a lot of parts)..

But I'm so happy to get rid of my Computer Science IB test! They were easy, but my hand cramped a lot.
English + Computer Science = NOT GOOD IN ONE DAY!
I still have English Paper 2 and History! Crazy writing x.x.
It's interesting to see the books that are read in English. I read:
Mother to Mother
Native Son
Love Medicine
Their Eyes Were (Are) Watching God
These will be fun to compare.
History is just tiresome (physically). My hand will continue to die out slowly.... But I'm glad next week is my last week of testing ^_________^!

I am NOT the S/T mod anymore

and yeah, the history essays will be rough in terms of writing. my hand is going to die, too.
as for the difficulty level of the IB tests?
well, i'd say with the IB exams, it's definitely easy to pass as long as you've paid attention in class. however, to achieve a mark of 6 or 7? that's where it gets difficult.

English, on the other hand, was fairly easy. I chose the poem.

1. drama
2. poetry
3. prose: the novel and short story
4. prose: other than the novel and short story
5. general questions on literature...
1-4 will have questions A and B that you can choose from, 5 has a,b,c,d that u can choose from...
for me, my english teacher said to only lookat #3 and #5 because those were the things we read/studied about and would apply best to writing the essay. so basically i have 6 questions to choose from..
anyways, i wish everyone luck on the english exam tomorrow!
