I heard AP Human Geography is such a fun class & I really wanna take it. HOWEVER, it's only taught during period 5 and that's also the only period AP Bio is taught. I know they're completely different subjects & all. But I don't know what to choose.
AP BIO
- tons of hw/reading but looks GREAT on college apps.
AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY
- not that much of a workload but isn't all that appealing on college apps.
So would you choose the chill, but not as appealing class or the semi-hard class that looks good on apps?

it depends on your major. i've taken both. they're both great for one that is curious about everything which includes me.
i hope you're not taking these classes just to make yourself feel or look good.

Human geography? First I heard of that one. Do you have a lot of other APs? If you do, maybe you should give yourself a treat and take the fun one with friends or sth. ^^

Take AP Bio.
My friend took AP Human Geography and she said that she regrets taking it. I know all schools differ in the class sizes and such, but AP Human Geography isn't really all that popular. But besides how many people are in the class, she said it was pretty interesting and really easy.
But because you'll be a senior next year, I suggest you take AP Biology because like you said it looks great on college applications. Also, many colleges really prefer if you make your Senior year challenging, instead of just slacking off because you know you got all of your credits. And because colleges know that AP Human Geography isn't really that rigorous and popular, they won't exactly pay too much attention to it.
Then again, all of this depends on how many AP classes you have taken in the past, how many of the exams you passed, etc...
I suggest you talk about it with your guidance counselor though. But that's just what I think.

^ thing is, because you're a senior you might not be as devoted to the class as you would be if you were a junior and taking that class.
i would suggest you taking AP Bio if you have an easy schedule.
If you're taking an additional one or two aps, I'd say go with Human Geo.

Well, I've taken both. I took Human Geography freshman year and Bio junior year. I think Bio was more work.. but then again, our year, HG was like a trial run.. like there was no Barrons book out for it.
Wait, I shouldn't say anything really... I'm biased, haha. I love bio

I'm taking AP Stats, Honors Advanced Composition, drawing or sculpture, Honors Government/Economics and I don't know about the rest.

what it do, what it do?!

I know that about the Senior year. And that's one of the biggest mistakes. Though it's common among seniour and people can relate, many colleges don't find it satisfying to see that you did slack off your final year. I know all about senioritis, lol.

I suggest taking AP Bio. It would look great along with AP Statistics and if you find your art class fun, it will balance out with that.

We programmed our classes for next year & I chose Human Geo.
Why? Because I found out like 3/4 of my class wants to get into AP Bio. The AP Bio teacher handpicks the students she wants based on their past grades. I immediately decided against it because my grades aren't so hott, so I know she won't pick me.
Ohwells, I'm happy with my decision.
