Has anyone seen this movie yet?...I am so confused, this movie didn't make any sense at all and was soo drawn out, it was like the exorcist on repeat, man

lol when i saw the trailer for it i really wanted to watch it but now i have heard so many bad reviews of it...can you tell me how the movie went and was it even scary at all?

AMERICAN HAUNTING has got the be the stupidest movie ever. like goshhh. it wasnt even that scaryy.

i'm guessing (???) the movie was supposed to be about..
[this family getting cursed. and each night the 'spirit' or whatever would torture the girl. and she would be hallucinating and stuff.]

even though i watched the movie.. i'm not even sure what was going on; the plot was sooo confusing.
[if the lady didnt curse the family... than what happened? she said that the father brought it upon himself. and if it was something the father did, than why did the girl get possessed?]

and..
[when the father died, and everything went back to normal.. as well as when the lady at the end ran after the car...... i was like.... ummm... okkayyy................. this movie is indeed STUPID.]

i only liked the part where the girl gets slapped every night; it was actually funnyy.

Hm, I actually understand the movie i think.

Anyways, if you pay attention to the end where the father came into the room and you can see the hand , that was a big hint. After that part you can see that the bottom dress had a stained of blood, and that was the same dress that was lost a few years ago. That blood at the bottom meant that she got rape by her father. Even throughout the whole movie, it showed like 5 of the same scene where it looks like she even got rape by a ghost. So what it meant by the father brought upon himself is that he raped her and by doing so she created an entity to protect herself which was that little ghost we saw. Something like getting traumatized(sp) and having another split personality but this time a ghost. I think? lol that's what i assume. That's why her otherself cursed the famliy and when the father died everything was okay.

^ yeah, I didn't understand till the little girl showed the mother what happen years ago. The father throughout the movie is a bastard.

He cheated that lady who everyone think is a witch, her land and money; than he raped his own daughter. The part where Besty flirted with the Professor, the father got jealous but disguise it by showing that he's a protective father. He threw away the garments with the blood stains and years later it came back. He's reminded of his sins that's why he threw them in the fire. Oh yeah in the end, the little ghost came back, this time to warn Besty that her daughter got raped by her ex-husband. So she did married the Professor right, because there's a portrait of them together? I liked the scenes with the professor, he's cute and very protective towards Besty.

I don't think that it's a bad movie. It's scary but not gorry.

LOL. i went bec. my friend dragged me but after a while i just came him that look "You owe me 10 bucks now" and we left early to eat. It was kinda creepy but I just wasn't drawn in.

jesus christ super star.....I must say if the directors are claiming that the movie is a theory on the bell witch hauntings....man I want to kick them in the butt, I would be willing to do so even barefooted >.< the only real thought I had during the movie was "wendy is getting beat!!!!"

oh, and I saw a matinee.....otherwise I'd be extremely miffed if I had paid $8 to see this movie reject

HAHAHAHA I find your subtitle thingy for this thread soo funny. I never like watching american horror movies. They always end up being cheesy or just gorey and not so much scarey (most of them). I guess i'll skip on this one too.

They followed the Bell Witch legend pretty accurate until near the end. I thought it was a decent movie.

I don't think it's really supposed to like OMG scary, I think it's supposed to be a story kind of like the Amityvill horror thing. I wanna watch it still -0- if I don't get at least someone creeped out, then I guess it's a dud. [ and I scare easily]
