yeah, he's released a lot of new songs(around 6), but I'm not sure which one is going to be on his new album. But for sure Hua Tian Cuo and Heroes of the World are going to be on his new album. Some other songs are for his CFS and this other one is for the chinese airing of My Name is Kwon Sang Soon

You advertise for Mcdonalds, do you like McDonalds?
What I like about McDonald's is its convenience. I don't like it very much for the food per say, I’m just lazy and eat it a lot. I don’t think I was supposed to say that. (Smirks) But if I had a girlfriend she would cook for me right??

What would you compare Mcdonalds to?
Well I remember a few years back 'N Sync was like McDonald's because they were like a McSync. They were omnipresent - everywhere. It was scary, I heard “Bye, Bye, Bye” as often as I saw a McDonalds across the corner or down the street.

Sashimi is one of your favorite foods, what would you compare that to?
I love me some Sashimi. It's a little like Norika, my co-star in China Strike Force. The way she holds herself, the way she talks, it's really smooth and comfortable. (quickly adds) But, I'm not saying I want her, I'm just comparing her to sashimi.

We know you like food a lot, is it true you would rather not see any attractive people than starve for a day.
Yes, how'd you know?

Wow, so you like to eat a lot?
Yes. Actually I was a vegetarian in high school because I went through this philosophical phase when I felt that it was wrong to kill anything at all, like I wouldn't even kill flies or insects. So, I wouldn't eat any meat. After, like, a year, I thought, "OK, I haven't killed any animals for a year.' So I ate some meat and darn it I couldn’t stop.

Is it true you, er, sleep without clothes?
Well, I'm always naked. Sometimes, I just happen to have clothes on, like now. (Laughs) You should try it, it’s really comfortable.

Apart from being naked, what clothing do you like to wear?
Well, I've been known to have bad fashion. That jumpsuit thingy I used to wear...and those inside out pants - now that was bad. So now my stylist does my shopping. But I'd say I'm an open book when it comes to fashion. I'd wear anything, if I'm comfortable in it. Except maybe a ballerina outfit. Yeah, you probably wouldn't be able to make me wear a ballerina outfit.

Are you always this cleancut?
No, haha, my company kind of forces me too. Haha. Actually, I have a lot of facial hair. When I'm working on my album, I don't shave at all and I grow a full beard. I remember once I was so busy with an album I didn’t shave for three months. It makes me look like I'm forty and I'm practically unrecognizable. But I like facial hair, it’s fun to see how long I can grow it.

Do you ever get annoyed when writing music?
I'm never exasperated when writing a song! It may sound freaky, but I'm kind of a masochist. If I'm having a hard time writing and I get frustrated, I’ll find some way to convince myself that I'm making progress - and I'll actually enjoy the pain. I tell myself ‘woo-hoo It's good pain!’

You seem to have a versatile style experimenting with different genres, do you listen to outside pressures that tell you to stick to a certain "sure-win" style?
A "sure-win"? Yeah, but that wouldn't be very interesting now would it? An album is like a baby to me, and I want an interesting baby. (Smiles) I think I'll be a good father one day.

You don't own a TV? Do you have any belongings?
Well I’m basically satisfied by music, so I don’t have many comforts or luxuries that I need. However I do have these two suitcases that have stayed with me over the years when I'm not home in Boston. I have pictures of my friends, and letters from my loved ones in my suitcases. Everything I need emotionally is in my suitcases. It's very personal. Hmmm, maybe I can write a suitcase song.

What was your first concert like?
The first concert I went to was Heart when I was 12. It was weird because it was the first time I saw people taking drugs, getting drunk, making out. I went with my brother and it was like: what are these people doing? That was really hard rock. But Heart is a great band.

What’s your worst stage memory?
Well sometimes the band plays the wrong key, but my worst was in Hongkong. I fell and hit my head because, heh I was a little too excited, I was running and hit a pole. I just wiped out! I was bleeding and wondering how I was going to finish the rest of the concert!

Do the "rumours" the tabloids fabricate, make you angry?
It doesn't bother me much now, although it's still annoying at times becuase it isn't true. I just don't want to come out and make the news bigger. I do music and I want to focus all my energy on this. I've no desire to use tabloids to promote myself. I don't want to waste my energy holding press conferences to deny my relationship with certain people or to say that I am not gay because it's just not in my interest.

Your first on-screen kiss was with Ruby Lin, she said out of all the guys she had previously kissed, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Nicholas Tse, etc you were her best. What do you have to say?
Well, I can tie a cherry stalk with my tongue, no haha, just kidding I didn’t say that.

Stanley Tong, the director said your kissing scene with Ruby was an exceptionally long one! He yelled cut several times and the two of you just continued kissing on the balcony. He then used a Walkie-talkie to tell the cameraman outside to tell the two of you to stop. Did you really not hear him?
(Smiles) Of course not.

Which phrases or words do you most overuse?
Words like 'um', 'dude', 'cool', you know, little throw -away words that don't contribute anything to a sentence but that I use anyway, out of habit.

What type of girl makes you go weak in the knees?
I guess I have this thing for some women who play the cello 'cos back when I was 16, I had a huge crush on this girl who played the cello in the youth orchestra I was in.

What's a good track to make out to?
Aha! Play my ballad "Don't be afraid". It's a smoochy song I wrote in Boston. There's a beautiful park right outside my apartment, One day, I was lying on the grass, watching the sun set and I started thinking about having someone next to me, sharing a bottle of red wine, telling her she can trust me and not be afraid to fall in love with me...(Trails off dreamily)I eventually wrote it into a romantic ballad!

What inspired you to pursue CHINESE music? Discrimination?
Discrimination wise I just faced some name-calling like many other ethic minorities. What really evoked my emotions was not the bullying but rather that the ABCs (American-born Chinese) are not united at all. The ABCs don't know their identity. I didn't notice this phenomenon until when I was in university, because there you have the Chinese American Students' Organization. You see all these ABCs sitting around and nobody knows how to speak Mandarin.

The competition between you and David Tao?
It's all imagined competition, this talk that we snubbed each other. We're really good friends. He'll come over to my house in Boston, and I'll just pop by his house. In fact, part of my album was recorded at his house in Los Angeles.

Do you think good looks distract people from your music?
(laughs) I appreciate the comments about the good looks, but no I don't think it distracts people from enjoying my music. Good looks fade and good art doesn't
