in UK im on book 5 and have to wait til ......july for book 6 gona take forever T.T

Deathnote is such a good manga, hope the film is good too.

Hrm.... I knew he looked familiar! He played Shuya in Battle Royale!!
Hm... it looks like it'll be pretty cool. I can't wait to see it!
I just love the storyline of this manga.
On imdb.com, since it says (2006) and that it's in post production, that means it'll probably come out sometime this year.
YAYYY!

It seems that they'll be two releases in Japan this year. One in June and one in October. I wonder why there's two.

L is played by that dude in 1 litre and Nana (Matsuyama Kenichi) ew ><;
Misa is played by that girl in Nobuta wo produce (Erika Toda)
And Raito is the main character from Battle royale.

For a second there I thought it was an american production cuz of the WB trademark. LOL.

But it looks very interesting and haunting at the same time. Definitely looking forward to it!!

I can't wait 'til I see this! I wonder how long I'll have to wait before I can see it here in the U.S. T_T

L looks good. I don't think Tatsuya Fujiwara (Shuya from Battle Royale) was a very good choice for Raito. Though I think he might be able to get the personality down fairly well, he looks nothing like him...
I'm glad they're making the Shinigami look like... well, Shinigami. Not some weird human-looking thing like they might be tempted to do while turning this to live action.

The manga was really interesting but i didnt get to finish it since reading it.
I cant wait till the movie come out though (=
The cast is ..interesting. i dont think that the character for L should be Matsuyama, the guy from 1 litre of tears . but i guess he looks similar with all that make up. I hope it wouldnt be a disappointment. The Shinigami looks awesome biggrin.gif

I hate the actor choice for 'L', the man was also chosen to play 'Shin' in Nana too. And so far, he has not been convincing at all.
