Navi is my game I've had the pioneer n1 and n2 as well as the 6500. I recommend a navi thats not built into a car but portable/removable. I current use the roadmate 700 and the alpine blackbird both awesome for you I recommend the 700 I believe you can pick one up used for like mid 300's to 400 and is very accurate.
I am poor. Please spare a dollar if you see me :)

whats your price range?
First thing, gps are not cheap. They can range anywhere from $300- $1200. I believe you get what you pay for. If you get one of the systems along the lower end of the range then you may experience problems and inaccuracies. I bought the Garmin Nuvi which is $800 but i found a place that sells it for $650. Nuvis are awesome, accurate and easy to use. I get lost all the time too thus i bought a navigation system. Since i bought this ive been driving to places i never would imagine I would be able to go.

I recommend a portable one too. It's cheaper and has the same qualities as the ones installed. I just recently got a portable one. Some features are easy to use, some aren't. haha but i'm not expert on which brand. Mine cost around $400+??
