also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

Yonex is definately a safe choice of brand name. As for a recommendation, what's his level of play ? that will give a good idea of what level racket to recommend

i would say shes an intermediate player. She plays every weekend and is very comptetive. I would say shes more of all around player (mix of defense and offense) but a hard smasher.

After doing some research online.. i noticed that the price of rackets has droped a lot since my highschool years (never really kept up to date with equiptments). I am looking between any of the Nano Speed, Armortec, or Muscle power series in the Yonex lineup.

You think a Yonex Nano Speed Type S is good for an all around player? I am currently using a Nano Speed Type X which i think is stiffer than the Type S.

If you say that she's a all-around player, i would suggest the Muscle Power 99. Very good all-around racket, it's a balanced racket, great power and doesnt' have any flaws imo.

The Armortec 800 Defensive is also a great racket but different then the Muscle Power 99. The 4U version is very light and great for defense but it's a head-heavy racket. Some people don't like head-heavy

About the Nanospeed 9000, i haven't tried them yet so i can't really give you infos on that. Just wondering, how much you paid for your Nanospeed 9000? they're so pricey...

my nanospeed 9000 was a gift (from the same person i am buying the racket for). but knowing where she usually buys her shuttles, im guessing she paid $230 for it.

She has been using a Yonex Titanium (Ti-10) for a long time and says she wants to change rackets or in her words.. "i want to upgrade". I also heard that the MP99 was to replace the Ti-10? so is it basically the same racket?

is there a racket out there that is considered to be a little better than an MP99? i was thinking about getting her the Nanospeed Type S just so that it can match the price on what she spent on me (or get her to cheaper ones thatll equal more than what she spent on me so that she can use one as a backup)

Here's a review of the Nanospeed 9000S, you can go wrong with this racket either

Racket Type : Yonex Nanospeed 9000 Type S
Specs : 3UG4
Strings: Yonex BG65 Power ( Supplied )
Tension: 29lbs , 1 Piece Stringing
Grip: Original Grip
Technology : Nanoscale Technology, Elastic-Ti , Solid Feel Core , Muscle Power

First Impression:
In terms of Color way it is the same like Type X. Feel that this racket is well balance and slightly lighter than its counterpart.

Warm Ups:
Since I’m used to the NS9000 already. I don’t have problem adjusting with this racket. Baseline drives are easy! I think its due to the Elastic Ti Technology. The whip effect is there. Shots seems effortless. Net drives are definitely fast. Its fun to play with Type S.

Game Time:
The racket have good flexibility even though it is stiff. I find it a little hard to control the direction of the shuttles. Initially I have problem timing my net play. Most of the net shots are higher than usual due to control. So it’s a little tricky playing with this racket. Drops are relatively good. The racket has good respond. You may feel that your defense is better when you use this racket therefore in terms of defending or blocking the shuttle , I find it easy due to the racket’s design and weight distribution. My racket Reaction is fast and I feel like I can anticipate where the shuttle is whenever i hold this racket. Netkills are indeed good.

Conclusion:
Speed is the name of the game. I would rather call it Type Speed. What I love about Type S is its whipping effect and its responsiveness. Type S may be a combination on Mp90 and At800 Df. Power and speed. If you have good wristwork, I think you will love Type S. I’m surprised with the new development of the NS9000 by Yonex. Creativity plus R&D made these NS9000 models worth trying. Well there is still more potential that have yet to exploit in the NS9000 series.

I would rate this racket in terms of Feel, Control, Power and Defense. However it is based on my own test and review. It may vary depending on the player, tension and what string you use.

Feel: 8.5/10
Control: 8/10
Power: 9/10
Defense: 9/10

Pros : Speed, Power and User friendly.

Cons: Maybe the color ( don’t blame me if I have bad taste on color ), prefer it slighly head heavy, lack of a little Control.

Suitability : Intermediate/Advance. Singles/Doubles racket.
