That's if you don't keep in touch with them. It's really really hard. Thank goodness for AIM, facebook and Myspace! HAHAH!

Yeah, if you keep in touch with them, you won't lose them. I'm still close to my really close friends. =]

hahaha you don't exactly lose all ur friends, you just finally get to realize which ones are the ones that you want to keep for a lifetime. It's tough to have too many friends, in the end, everyone ends up with only a handful =)

yea u do lose a lot of friends b/c u will lose touch and not like highschool were u see each other all the time

in college to me its like u are sorta forced to make friends are u will be a loner, but then i realize that some friends i made in highschool are true ones, in college the group i hang with i mean i talk with them but we are so diff in everything that i can't get along with them, its hard to explain
how many times must I fall over and over again? and when will i finally succeed at a such a vital point in my life while my time is dwindling away???

you can choose to believe that or not.. heh

Not neccessarily. If you keep in contact with them then you won't. When in a new situation you just have to find new people to make friends with again.

yes, kind of.

like in my case. my friends and i all went to separate schools, and we all made new friends at school that are from the same place we are. so even when we come home on breaks we end up hanging out with our new friends rather than our old ones...and we became really distant...but were still in touch through aim and all that good stuff =)

before i went to college that was what i was scared of most, losing all my old friends, but you get adjusted to it..

yes. unless you try really hard to keep in touch WEEKLY... some of my best friends i are still friends but the kind that ONLY talk on breaks, when they're home from college.. then there are others i still hang out with even if we go to different schools... and we got closer

but get ready for discouragement and losing friends. plus in college you start finding more of yourself - and more of people who have the same values and beliefs. you become who you hang out with. if you party every weekend you'll make "friends" who do that.. and then lose the others. same way the other way.

hey you lose some gain some.

i lost my two best friends.. but it doesnt mean there are other people who care smile.gif you always make new friends~

I heard that the friends you make in grad school are the friends you'll keep for life. its linked to (I guess) ppl who are enough devoted or grounded in whatever to continuing majoring it, and once your in grad school, you're only thinking of your future, so everything is a future contact either business or friendship

The undergrad friends are the ones who'll you can party w/ but aren't that mature/focused/dependable for 5-15 yrs (hence the grad school, i suppose)

so true..

i've known my best friends from elementary and we all went to the same high school together. we've started drifting apart even then, but college has made it even harder.

however, i think we're the only group that's managed to stay together for so long. eventhough we don't talk to each other on a weekly/monthly basis, we still find time to get together on holidays and stuff.

but yah.. it is sad that we're no longer as close as we use to be... it's gonna be even harder next semester when i go to university. most of my friends will still be college.. it kinda sux..

A song can take you back instantly to a moment, a place or even a person.
No matter what else has changed in you or the world, that one song stays the same, just like that moment.

yes it is true because generally speaking most friends end up going to different colleges because of different major interests. you'll make new friends, and possibly keep 1 or 2 of your old friends but most likely it won't be the same unless you guys go to the same college and keep in touch.

I think it's partially true. I've lost friends who I would hang out with but weren't exactly people I could trust. My best friend and I are still best friends, despite being an hour apart.
Please don't forget me. { I'm going away. }
I'm taking a taxi to Kentucky where they don't even know all about me. I just need to feel s a f e.
I've got a thousand sweaters, and shoes, and paintings to hide the skeletons in my way.
But he said, "Slow down, slow down. Think it over, we've all got wretched closets, but silly girl pride kills more than Aids lately."
I said, "Come on, I thought it over. I don't wanna die here. I have no desire to get mrried."
Every night I pray for you, don't believe in heaven or that it could be a happy place.

I lost a lot of friends since high school ended. There are those close ones that i still keep in touch with but the others are just a memory from the past. In order to keep in contact with them would be to chat online and one day you'll have plans to go do something cause you're bored!
