Was it just me, or did someone post this before?

I have a friend who is quite wealthy and I asked him what his dad does. He said he wasn't quite sure, but his dad was part of a team that was making a tire that was airless. He told me to keep quiet about it. I was kind of laughing because I thought it was impossible. Well, one year later, I see it on the net!

It does look quite ugly though. However, imagine how much weight can be saved. lol

I remember seeing some photos from last year where the "sidewall" would flex so much while cornering that there was a lot of body roll.

It's a great idea but we'll have to wait and see how well development goes.

cool, i can never tell if my tire is flat or not. i'm always imagine it's flat but it usual is the axle or alignment n other stuff. sometimes i just stare at the tire but i can't tell unless a lot of air has gone out.
hope that tire won't just cave in.

there was a video that tested these tires, run-flats, and regular tires... they did the same tests by running over a nail, they liked how the runflats ran better.. i cant find the video.. but yea.. it's pretty cool how they came up with these.. but im sure they'll cost a fortune..

If you're really wondering how he (Tetra) looks...click; although I highly advise that you don't-- for your sake.

it looks weird but it says it will improve the feel of the ride and give better handling...i guess it would be safe for not having blowouts
but we'll see when they actually go into production and people start to use them

I think water tires would be amazing. Warer pillows, water beds, water tires!
