[HELP] program to cut out files

i was wondering if anyone here knew of a free program to cut out parts of a file without leaving something on the clip it self (i.e. program name)

im guessing you want a video splitter program that doesnt watermark their product on your files...if so you gotta look for freeware ones or buy the shareware ones to get rid of the limitations.
...sorry i only use a program called "avi-mpeg-asf-wmv splitter" not freeware though.
