Yeh I was watching that, I don't listen to alot of rap but I listen to enough of it.
I think he's a good rapper and he makes very catchy songs, but I was guessing it would be 2Pac or Biggy
Who agrees??

I don't listen to rap but I've listened to enough to say that Jay-Z is not the best MC. Tupac or Biggy would be from that list.

Or even FLAVA FLAV from Public Enemy.

I would've probably chose Tupac or Nas, but why the hell is 50 cent in that category?

I've listened to my fair share of rap and hip-hop... However, I wouldn't have selected Jay-Z as the greatest MC. Their are so many better than him... People have much better lyrics and performances than him... Personally, their lyrics are trash nowadays. Most of them are about money, shooting, and sex and yes, old school was like that as well... But not as repetitive or disgusting as today. I saw Jay-Z's Hard Knock Life Tour in SD and yeah it was a good show... but not cause of him. Of the MCs listed, I'd say the Notorious B.I.G and Tupac are much better. However, I prefer Timbaland and Magoo... to me they're the most original and great performers. Comedic rap at its best.

Tupac of course. Cuz I'm just Westcoast like that... putting it down for the Westside. Representin' 4Life, baby.

Lol oh no he didn't!
2pac is the man though "Dear Mama" is great!
Jay-z is good but not better than 2pac or Biggy.
Lol you guys know Jay-z lived only 3 blocks from me, he was even at my school cuz his nephews went there.
But I never made a big deal though.
And every christmas, he goes to Marcy and gives out toys to all the lil kids. That's really nice of him.

who else has had consistent platinum-selling albums for more than a decade? who else in the mainstream is more versatile when it comes to content? who else is respected by both conscious rappers AND the mainstream alike?

nas sure cant do it.

pac is overrated imo, and was repetitive with his content

from a mainstream standpoint, yes i do agree with jay-z being the greatest emcee

Nas is just a simple rapper like Puff Daddy
Also 2PAC is ALIVE

^Hmmm I think Nas is way more versatile than Jay-z.
He even says it in his song he goes "My style switches like a f*ggat"
I love that part, I think that's "Half Time" but my fav song from him is "It ain't hard to tell"
Illmatic is a great album!
