hopefully i do not get my license taken away and well my parents actually were going to get me a car that i wanted(rsx-s/is300) for my bday, but other then a is300 or a type-s im more looking forward to a beat down car so i can get more used to the road... for some reason after the crash i feel a little scared when im in a car, is this normal? im slowly getting used to being inside a car again but i think i can drive again soon but worried about crashing an is300 or rsx-s, so im more leaning towards a safer..no slower car....like a civic? or anythign better? any recommendations?

more importantly, you should answer this question:
"how much do you want to modify it? what are you going to use it for?"
my answer to your original question regarding "which one is better for modding and performance" will obviously be different depending on how you answer my question.

The RSX would never even be a choice for me.
But you just mentioned how you crashed before you even got your license (I'm assuming for recklessness). Well, you've already given the impression that you're probably gonna crash your next car.
In that case, I say get the RSX... don't crash a pretty IS300.
I know I'm being a prick. But I'm just tired of all these irresponsible kids that crash on the road. Back home in a span of four months I've seen seven people killed because of street racing.... three of which were innocent bystanders.

out dated and old...? I'd take one over the is350.
My friend had this exact same debate, ended up with an rsx cus of a few reasons...one being price and availablility. The new type s is dope!
He said IS300 not IS350. I would take the IS300.

The RSX is a better car in my opinion in terms of streetability and mod. The K-Series engine is quite responsive in terms of power adding (either N/A or forced induction).
RWD is pretty fun, since Drifting is the "newest i can't read" nowindays. But FF can still get it done if you're serious about laptimes. Plus RSX is I believe alittle less in terms of insurance? Honda part availability is a dime a dozen now too. Not much aftermarket support for IS300's inline-6 block, the rich kids tend to swap it out and put in the supra's inline-6 anyway.

which is a better car to choose between the 2? modding wise and performance wise, ther isnt a big price gap between the used one's. plus anoynoe know of which of the two has more expensive insurance? even thought my insurance is like alot more than everyone else because i crashed my itr like 2 weeks after i got my license...:[
so you want to know about modding wise and performance wise? well the RSX-S is the answer then. modding a is300 is a pain in the ass. the only way to get any power of that slug is through FI. the RSX-S responds better to mods as well .. and if you wanna FI the RSX-S it can be made fast. and the RSX-S is cheaper and both are reliable, but i'll say RSX-S.
i dont think any is300 broke 10's yet? someone correct me if im wrong.
but the rsx-s broke 10's.
