Why would anyone be embarrassed to admit they liked BSB Spice Girls or Nsync, etc? They were like gods.
A more embarrassing song would be Invisible by Clay Akein.. and yes it's a good song. Lol hey it may be about stalking and watching women in their rooms but hey it's catchy. So my question is, Clay Akein's gay right? Does that mean he's singing this song about a man?

I still love Spice Girls and BSB and NSync, I'm probably the most embarrassed about Dream Street. Jesse McCartney when he was little. That hurts...

I noticed that a lot of people said BSB, NSYNC (as well as Aaron Carter and Britney Spears)...

What I don't understand is, why did people have to be embarrassed to admit they liked those songs? I mean, the songs were catchy and popular, meaning most people liked it. So why was it embarrassing to like those songs??? Especially since people around you most likely liked the songs too... *How else they could get multi-platinum, right?*

I guess my point is: why is 'boyband' such an embarrassing word???

And what's even sadder is, I've heard some of the artists themselves said they were embarrassed of the fact that they used to be part of a boyband (or part of the pop act). And then they tried so hard to break that image by acting cool so that people would stop relating them to what they were a few years ago. I mean, is it that embarrassing?? I specifically quoted this from one boyband member: "It is hard to get over that boyband stigma" Why is boyband a stigma??? I totally understand that boybands are not marketable in the US anymore, but is it really necessary to feel ashamed of what made them into who they are now???

yeah i dont see why people are embarassed to say they liked backstreet boys, nsync, or britney. i had no problem admitting i liked them! i had posters and tee shirts with them on it. i was proud showing them off ! biggrin.gif
