hey guys.
well u see u was backing out of my garage
and my dads car was parked a bit to the left so i thought i could get out.
i checked my rear view mirror and didnt see anything in the way
so i started backing out and it hit the car --;
i went to body shops and their estimate was around $1300-$1400
to repair. and all there is to fix is the left back lights, back bumper, left quarter panel,
paint, and the civic sign. esh.

will insurance cover it? considering i hit a family member car.
if so, what would be the guess on how now high my insurance will go up?

thanks you guys.

yeah its outrageous. the parts arent that expensive,
its just the labor charge that makes the price so high. fury.gif

the reason why the labor is so high is because of the painting process i believe. It takes a good day and a half if its just a single bumper.

since you own both the cars (or your family does), you can just take it to get it fixed at whatever body shop. if you report to your insurance company that you drive your car into your other car... lol sad.gif

I once backed into my grandma's corolla.
We didn't do anything about it since repairing it would be a waste of money and time.

just get an aftermarket kit, or just buy the oem parts used on craigslist or something. Its a civic right? honda parts are dirt cheap. No point repairing the parts when they can be replaced for under a few hundred dollars, or just left alone

you should jut repair it yourself without getting your insurance company involved. Your insurance premiums will be higher and will cost you a lot more in the long run.

(a new young driver hitting a parked car... insurance will go up a lot!)

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

1300 is asking a lot, but civics do crush like pop cans. I wonder how fast you were going?
