hey guys... i was wondering if anyone could recommend me some fun shoujo mangas. (or the korean equivalent - manhwas... doesn't matter b/c i'll be reading english translations)

i'm looking for a fun, romantic comedy. i don't mind some action, but i don't need blood and gore.

so, to give you a better idea of my manga "taste":

- i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoy furuba/fruits basket. like immensely! the art is fantastic, the guys are hot (big plus!), there's lots of romance, good chunks of dirty humor (SHIGURE!<3), and an awesome plot to top it off. THIS, is my ideal manga.
(unfortunately i haven't been able to find any recent chapters beyond the ones at stoptazmo. can anyone help me out there? ^^)

- i've also read chobits, and it was.. eh. so so. got really really repetitive. if someone says "the someone just for me" one more time i just might blow up. ^^ also, i didn't like the way the guys were drawn. (though the chef was pretty good looking @_@)

note: these two are the only mangas i've read so far, i'm new ^o^

- i've watched some episodes of BLEACH (anime) over my brother's shoulder and i wasn't particularly drawn. the fighting don't do it for me.

- i’ve read a few volumes of kare kano and absolute hated it. i don’t know why, it just bored me.



so basically what i like in mangas are
- gorgeous art
- guys that look like shigure and kyo from furuba! with big eyes and everything! ^^
- romance: love triangles, squares, pentagons, etc!
- comedy
- dirty stuff ;D
- a moving, touching, interesting, provoking plot
- not so much repetitiveness (i couldn’t take chobits)
- again, everything that FURUBA is!



so if you have similar interests to mine, please share some recommendations for me. THANK YOU!

I would highly recommend the most popular shoujo title for now: NANA by Ai Yazawa. If you're into fashion and complex relationships, you shoud also give Paradise Kiss a try. Other titles I would recommend are: Full Moon wo Sagash!te, Hana-Kimi, and Aish!teruze Baby.

Note: Due to language filter, I had to resort to using "!" in place of the letter "i" in the titles.

I really like Hot Gimmick...the plot gets confusing at times though...but I really reccomend it

It's too bad that you didn't enjoy Kare Kano. You just need to get past all the introductions (if you're willing to test your patience at it) and get into the serious storyline. Once there, it has the most interesting and twisted characters and plots ever - to me anyway. It gets deep and emotional too.

I didn't like Fruits Basket so I really can't recommend similar ones. As aforementioned, you may try Hana Kimi and Yazawa Ai's works. They do it for me.

i know that's alot to check out...but most of them i've finished and they're pretty good.

i'm currently reading fushigi yuugi: genbu kaiden. for if you also like the fantasy-ish stuff

non-yuu watase related, i remember scanning through gatcha gatcha in the book store (That's the one with the girl with multiple personalities right?). it seemed a bit dirty hahahahaha

If you like smutty ones, you can read Shinjo Mayu and Minami Kanan. Theirs are guaranteed smutty. Nice art too but the stories are

yeah! all the characters look alike each time.... that's why i don't really like the others Yuu Watase's comics... and i don't find another story of her with the same interest that i have for Imadoki...
