I use 1and1.com's ms-developer package for $20/mth.
It gives you 5 free domain registrations, 6000 sub domains, and all the usual perks.
I think its 150 GB of webspace and 1.5 TB of traffic monthly. Kinda overkill, but I need it for .NET development.

Check out their plans, they have some pretty good ones, like 5 gb of space and 250 GB of traffic a month for $2.99/mth, it all depends on what kind of features you're looking for. If you want PHP, look into linux hosting. If you want ASP and ASP.NET, look into Microsoft Hosting.

thanks for the suggestions.

i had a look at 1and1 and i like their plans. what do you think of their service? is the server stable. i was with frozen midnight and they had a lot of downtime and often changed servers.

I have absolutely no problems with speed or uptime with 1and1, they're actually one of the fastest and most reliable web hosts i've had. Their customer support leaves more to be desired, but then again, anyone's CS does.

Anymore recommendations?
I'm also looking for ano new webhost for my website.
I'm paying about $2.50/mo for a 50MB space from a local reseller. I guess it's too much and too little space right? Since you can get something for about $2.99 with a lot of space if you get from US based web hosts.

Any recommendations?
I am considering bluehost but seems too expensive but the space is so big!
Basic plan of Cirtex seems a good choice for me for now, with 5000MB. But if I need more space in the future the next plan up is too expensive.

I'm thinking of getting Cirtex first then if after 1 year if i need more space, i might transfer to bluehost. Would that be a wise decision?

Because I don't really have much time to update my site. At least not for now. (with my 50mb storage, if i have more space i can more around faster i guess... ^^ )

If you know other webhost, please post here. I'd greatly appreciate more choices.

Now, don't be naive....

FREE = CRAPPY GB SPACE (not enough space for you to upload or view)
If you want something FREE use geocities, the crappppy cheap free place hehe.
If you want something GOOD, PAY.

That's the only way to get a good host, just PAY like everyone else... I've seen a lot of people at soompi (their sites) with free hosts, and you can kinda see WHY they chose something free.. cuz their sites are amateur. So basically it matters on who your audience is.. and why you want one. Just for fun? Then free isn't horrible. But for business or a portfolio, PAY... if you think not a lot of people are gonna go to your site cuz it's more personal.. then that's different from someone who wants a lot of traffic u know? and that's ALL about GB space... 120 verses unlimited etc. etc...

GOOD PRICE nowadays per month is $5 (not bad^^)

Unlimited bandwidth are most likely scammers. I had two hosters that offered this but ran off with our credit card #'s. ... jeeze. Goes to show. dry.gif

It kind of depends on what you're looking for.

I have a personal website that gets about half a hit a day =.=;
For that I use http://2style.net/
It's free, offers 200GB of hosting space
(I usually upload to an outside album for photos, but I'm very far away from the limit)
I'm not sure about the bandwidth.. kind of forgot. ^^;;
What I liked about it is that you can choose a ton of different website names?
Like instead of freewebs.com/___
There's cuter/cooler stuff? :/
Since I use frames I can get rid of ads easily ;D

For paying I've heard very good things about godaddy (http://www.godaddy.com).
I designed a couple sites for people who used it and they said it's the best?
