Trying to register for Naver, Mnet and Daum has pushed my stress levels to an all-time high...i don't understand korean so most of the time im just guessing and clicking everywhere...i WOULD have given up but the only problem is that those sites have a lot of good stuff that i want, e.g. heaps of pics and videos.

Because most of the time, the signing up forms you have to fill out are similar, i've tried to use some of the tutorials for signing up at clubbox to help me out with some of the korean words...but it's still so hard since these sites ask for different stuff as well!

So PLEASE help me!!! I'd be grateful to anyone who can. Thanks heaps in advance!

i use the google language tool to translate the words there
i almost had an account at daum but the problem is the visual confirmation thing.. i cant type korean..

Hmm I signed up for daum last year.. but i can't exactly remember how i did it >_< If no one else helps you though i can try. And for mnet.com i'm trying to sign up for that too right now.. but i'm not sure what 희망 ID is?? cuz i only know it as hope? (help anyone?) well if i get it figured out i'll tell you though ^^.

Wow.. this took me forever to get T___T. Daum's changed their foreign registration since i signed up.. its harder now. haha. Anyways here's the "tutorial" I hope its ok.. and if some things aren't translated right sorry.. i'm not korean and i don't know that much korean.. so i had to look up some of the stuff. (and please dun take this off of soompi)

go to daum.net and click 회원가입 (under the signin box) to begin. Once that page loads click the blue box (its the one on the left) this is the general account sign up..


For the screen name sign up.. after you type your s/n click the button next to it (중복환인) you get this window
if your picture of the computer looks like the one in the pix click the button i circled.. if your computer is like sweating.. that means yur s/n is tooken and you have to make another one. (type the new s/n in the box at the bottom of the screen and click the button next to it)
(If you can't type korean at the bottom of the page.. take a screen cap of it and pm me and i can type it for you..)

the next parts kinda confusing..

After you enter your number.. your gonna click the button thats next to it (인증번호 받기) in the next few mintutes you'll get a phone call and it's gonna tell you some numbers in korean. Unless you know the numbers by heart and can remember it lol, i'd recommend that you record it.. After you record it you can look here http://icalepcs2003.postech.ac.kr/img/Korean/Numbers.gif and it tells you what the numbers are in english.. after you get them type it into the '인증번호' box and click the button to go to the next page.

The next page should just be a confirmation page..*sry i didn't take a screen cap* just go down and click 가입완료 to continue to the next page. and if that word isn't there.. click the left button and it'll go to the next page.

Then you should be on a page that is like extra information.. I shoulda took a cap of this page too.. >_< Anyways, your accounts been finished now.. at the top part of the page there should be a paragraph with like a link or button in it.. click that.. dun bother trying to fill out the bottom of that page.. b/c you can't since we don't have the korean ssn number.
