I was just wondering if anyone knows the top 10+ pharmacy school in the United States

Well, I couldn't find the top ten list, but I found an article that lists some of the top pharmacy schools in 2006.

Taking top honors in pharmacy education in the 2006 listing is the University of California at San Francisco. Rated second and third, respectively, are the University of Texas and the University of North Carolina. Sharing fourth place with the University of Arizona college, with the same point score, are pharmacy schools at Purdue University, the University of Michigan and the University of Minnesota.

a Pharm. D is a professional degree, and very much in demand. you'll have tons of jobs and sign on bonuses lined up for you once you graduate...regardless of the university you went to... unless of course, you might want to go into research

it doesn't matter once you're out of pharm D. but usually your superiors would look more favorably upon you if they know you went to UCSF or something

agree with what everyone above said. it doesnt really matter if you go to a "top" pharm school or not. either way, once you get out, you'll be pretty much set. btw, the school work load can be tough :T but gluck!

UCSF is the TOP UC...

It's mostly for Grad students- not undergrads...unless you're a genius

University of the Pacific has its own pharm school

My friend went there. Graduated in 5 years (usually takes 7 years) because they have a special program that can do it in 5 years

and hopefully soon, UCI

Take the prepharm classes, get some good letter of recs and some good pharmacy experience. Also take the pcat if you are planning to apply out of state and get good grades of course.

I'm building my way up from a cc also =) after my general ed, i'm transfering to a university to get my pre-pharm requirments done so i can go to UOP school of pharmacy. I heard transferring too much is a pain in the ass, though. Hopefully it doesnt screw things up too much.

i guess i mind as well express my fear in this thread: Since this is such a competive major, im REALLY REALLY REALLY scared of not making it. Especially with that fact that i SUCK in math. But well, i'll jsut see where life take me
