***I, as the title of the thread states, am looking for Teen/Young Adult books/novels.. I need cute, romancey books T^T~ (I'm not one to read nonfiction or history-related books ness.. and I suck at classics/old english type books)***
I like books such as...
By Libba Bray: A Great and Terrible Beauty
By Kate Brian: Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys, Sweet 16, The Princess and The Pauper, The V Club
By Meg Cabot: Avalon High, All American Girl & Ready or Not!, Princess Diaries Series, etc
By Rachel Cohn: Pop Princess
By Sarah Dessen: Dreamland, Just Listen, Keeping The Moon, Someone Like You, That Summer, The Truth About Forever, This Lullaby,
By Kyoichi Katayama: Socrates in Love
By Stephenie Meyer: Twilight, New Moon
By Jaclyn Moriarty: The Year Of Secret Assignments
and so on O_O.
Mmmm... I don't really like books such as, say, The Gossip Girl series... Those type of books are getting beyond cliche @_@|. (Like all the drinking/drugs/clique-y/popularity=life kind of plots) It's getting annoying.
T^T I just want to read genuine love stories.. Do you guys know of any books that are, if there is such a published book in English, similar to fanfics? (XD Not similar in style necessarily, but like the stuff you see in the fanfic section here. O_O.)
Okay enough rambling T^T O_O. So =| Any suggestionss?

There's also "The V Club" by Kate Brian. It's okay. I like it enough to recommend it, but I don't think I like enough to really get excited about it. It's a good read though.
And a really good book (I think) is "Missing Abby" by Lee Weatherly. It's not really a "love" story, though there kind of is one...but still really good.
Another good book that's not a traditional love story, I know I'm getting off topic but just listen, is "The Gospel According to Larry" by Janet Tashjian. At first, I thought the book wasn't going to be very good, but I ended up really liking it, as well as it's sequel "Vote for Larry".
Oh, and check out "Guitar Girl" by Sarah Manning. Cute, sad, funny.
Hmm...and also "Pop Princess". I think it's a good book, but not as good as "Guitar Girl".
I think that's it for right now.

so far there are 7 including one that was just published this year. i read it already and its not bad, wasnt as laugh out loud funny as usual but since i love the series i read it anyway
they're super short, very easy to read.
highly recommended to read just for fun
i read them even tho im 20 hahaha. its just so funny... its about like the trials and daily life of a 15/16 yr old.
for something more mature... why not nicholas sparks? the one who wrote the notebook, a walk to remember?
personally im not a fan of romance novels, but if you want a "love story" i think that'll be a good choice.
even tho its not like a teen book but whatever...some characters are teens right? lol like a walk to remember. i doubt his books are difficult to read.

My all time favorite YA book is Two are Better than One by Carol Ryrie Brink. This is about two seventh-grade best friends who still play with dolls and write stories while their peers giggle over boys and wear cake coloring on their lips. Very nice coming of age book, once more I could fully relate to the two heroines as they deal with the conflicting feelings of puberty. Okay, I make it sound corny, but I swear it's not! Please give this a try if ever you see it (it was published about the mid 60's or perhaps 30's, I think)! Truly not to be missed!
It may be the stars falling from above
And you know love is with you when you rise
For night and day belong to love

sorry for bumpingish x:
The narration is funny. Romance is sweet (kind of. x:) Its story doesn't seem like much from the way the reviews speak of it, but I loved it. Don't miss out. (:

If any of you are into fantasy books, but don't want to get into heavy fantasy, you can check out "The Hollow Kingdom" trilogy by Clare B. Dunkle. I like her twist on beauty and beasts and the roles of women in fantasies.
