You can't really use them outside Korea. Unless you want a crippled phone, try going to Korean phone dealers. KTown.
even if you buy from korean phone dealers in ktown, they will still be crippled phones. no internet, limited text messaging, etc.

i saw some in china, which was quite odd, thought only korea used them. is there any difference between the samsung and anycall mobiles apart from their names? is it just the cdma version?
i remember i read in the korean news about some people making pirated versions of anycall in korea... they call it like "amycall" and stuff like that XP bootleg >_<

That's up to you. I'd spend $500 on a nice, software unlocked, up to date Japanese phone if I had the money to throw around. Is it worth it in the grand scheme of things? Hell no, but to me, sure.

GSM uses a SIM card and CDMA doesn't.
As for the working part, they CAN work, but to a very simple extent. You're just getting a simplified version of the phone. Usually the people that are into exotic phones are into them because of the way they look, not their features, since we don't get most of the cool features.
You can get calling and texting, but that's about it.

not even 3G or videocalls?? i don't care much bout the online TV or whatever, but if there's no browsing options then I'd rather buy cheap Nokia~

3G as in internet? No, not an option. I don't know how video calling works, but I would assume that's also internet based, in which case, it doesn't work, either.
Sorry for the bad news. Keitais are pretty much for aesthetic reasons and rich people only :| haha
