i want to hook up my notebook up to my tv because i want to watch movies and stuff that are on my laptop but i dont know how. i know i need to buy some type of cables but i dont know which ones im suppose to get. so if anyone knows anything please reply back.
i realized that i didnt put this in the troubleshooting area thingy so please ignore this.

You need an S-video cable.
