A Nightmare on Elm street scared the sh*t out of me when I first saw it. I was 9, and I was actually talked into it by my mom and brother lol. I only slept for 2 hours that night.

I saw Signs in the theater when I was 12. Now that was scary lol. It's not one of those movies that's scary the second time around, or maybe not even if you just watch it at home on DVD.. but in the theater, oh man. Plus my brother was talking about how scary it was beforehand.

Since then, not much has scared me. I watched movies like Jacob's Ladder, Candyman, The Exorcist, and The Shining hoping something would scare me. All of those are really good movies, but I guess I'm just too desensitized. Heh. I want to be scared again, damnit!

A Tale of Two Sisters
Ring
Ring 2
The Grudge
Ju-On
Ju-On 2

Those are the ones I can think of though for most people they aren't horror films. Just suspenseful half the time. I just like the parts where the girls pop up. =)

The first Saw was a well made movie. I never would have guessed the ending.

people said Hostel is the one to watch if u love saw, texas chain massacre and those kind of movies. I dont dare to watch it after what my friend told me. So i'm guessing it's truly gruesome.

I agree. I love it.
Silence of the Lambs -- Freaky :x That Anthony Hopkins is freaking scary. It's amazing how he could play that role one second and be the narrator for How The Grinch Stole Christmas the next.

Too many classics to mention, but recent flicks are probably The Hills Have Eyes / Omen.

Not so much as scary but give you many 'omg wtf' moments.

The Exorcist scared me sh!tless when I first saw it. I was like 7 at the time. Had nightmares for the longest time.

And Audition. I saw that when I was like 13 and it still scared me. But like res0nate said, more in the "omgwtf" kind of way. XD; Still scary. Though it was at like 3 in the morning and I was watching it by myself. Environment makes such a difference while watching movies. XP
